I was sat in the south today and originally I saw and heard boos from the west stand, then later in the game most of the south bood. I'm also anti Allam but today wasn't the day for singing about him, it was a day we should have got behind the team
Precisely, you can chant anti Allam for 5 minutes and pro City for the other 90 either way it creates an atmosphere. What gets me is why the pro Hull Tigers have to boo fellow fans rather than sing pro Allam or pro Hull Tigers songs
Its strange, most of the guys around there have had the same seats since the ground opened, they'd be some of the last people I'd expect to be pro-Allam and to boo their own fans, but it would seem the south east corner is one of the worst areas in the ground for it.
Like I said yesterday, there were no more Allam out chants after Burnley scored. The sudden realisation that shouting Allam out wasn't the best way to encourage the team to get a goal, or the fact that the only chance of getting Allam out was actually to retain premiership status for a new buyer. Own ****ing goal or what? And of course the Allams out chant wasn't the result of us losing, but it didn't ****ing help did it?
Seeing as the North stand is made up of people who have moved there to sing, they were pretty quiet yesterday. Burnley were a lot louder! Even the anti Allam chants weren't as loud as at the Liverpool game! Maybe nerves?
All the chants stopped after they scored. The whole stadium just fell into a silent depression. I thought it was a great atmosphere from both sets of fans in the first half. The fans heads went down along with the players once they scored because everyone knew we wouldn't score then.
The north stand did a good job of getting behind the team today as did the east starting some songs over there. But it's very difficult to get behind the team for the full ninety minutes when they give you **** all in return it has to be a two way thing
You cant say that on here. Its a known FACT the booers have only been here since the PL seasons and will **** off straightaway when we're relegated.
What about the groans and moans towards the end when we passed it sideways? Do you think that helped?
They really werent. I agree with Greeny. By 30 minutes the ground went mute. There just seemed to be a dawning realisation we werent going to do anything in the game.
You were applauding the tippy tappy interchanges from Chester to Quinn back to Chester on the half way line were you? Good on you.
Haha true. I think if anything it highlights how much damage Allam has done, its one thing for the PL whores to fall out with the die hard fans but for those who have followed City through the dark times together to now turn on each other is worrying.
The Allam out chant at Liverpool was at 19 minutes and some mid way in the second half. The Allam out chant yesterday was louder at 19 minutes and it was loud when the game finished. I think there were a few chants in between but I've removed most of yesterday's match from my memory. We have always struggled to vocally support our team when we are losing or the team is playing badly. Yesterday was just another game to add to that list.
I think that's unfair. Burnley started the game like a house on fire and their fans reflected that with their singing. After twenty minutes or so (until their goal) Burnley quietened down.
Singing Allam out doesn't help the team but moaning and groaning when Chester and Quinn play it to each other does. Don't be stupid.
Like I said, me and you must have been the only ones applauding their passes back and forwards across the backline with 5 minutes to go.
