I'm sure I got 3 pints of it in York (pub in Nunnery Lane, by the Walls) earlier in the year. 3 pints and change from a fiver!!!<yikes>

Either Old Museum or another bitter?

I used to only drink Museum, but they stopped serving it at Nellies years ago, they told me it wasn't being served anywhere now(I haven't been in another Sam Smiths pub to check). All of their bitters remain ridiculously cheap for what they are.

Growing up in Brough my local was The Station/Buccaneer. Used the Polar Bear quite a bit when I was at school.

When in Hull i go in Gardeners, Haworth and then on down to Prinny Ave.

In Bev it's either Cornerhouse, Green Dragon, Beaver or Angel.

yep. one of them. I got fed up of having the explain about the name. I started telling folk it was because there were pirates in Brough Haven that used to attack boats going up river to Selby, Goole, etc.

when u live in Hornsea (as I did for 12 years, only 7 years in terms of being legally able to drink), there isn't a lot of choice really.. as for clubs hell yeah, we had Floral Hall & Waves... hardly bothered going out in Hornsea though, as I worked in Bev I was there and went into Hull at weekends, if not Brandesburton golf club..

Yes, it's nice and a large choice of different things in there. I get the impression it's ever so slightly pretentious (shoes only for example on the door, or when the bouncers feel like it perhaps) but it's a good one. The people who own it also own Nellies just bit further down, formerly an Irish themed pub, now also real ales and the like.

I've only been on a weekday night, so there weren't any bouncers, or any restrictions.
