However I think I've just contradicted myself here as I think I posted earlier that it was Bruce's team selection. Ben will confirm this I'm sure?
As I've posted elsewhere the 3-5-2 is useless for anything other than defending and counter attacking which doesn't work at home against a team who's parked the bus. Once changes were finally made they were the wrong ones and the team lost all its balance and shape. They were Bruce's errors, he and he alone is responsible for them.
It's not he formation. It is the players. They haven't got the skill to create or the reliability to do it weekly.
I wish I could write what I hate most about Aluko. It'd be nice to get if off my chest. I could demonstrate but it's hard to put into words. Every ball in the air he does this stupid move where he gets about 3 yards away from the defender, stops his run and just sort of leans as if to make a big point that he couldn't possibly get to it, which he could have. Every time. I know he's not a big lad, but I just expect him to try.
I've just eaten a full bar of fruit and nut plus I've had 8 pints and the pains still there. FFS City you bottleless ****ers.
Proper Cadburys fruit & nut? Have you noticed that chocolate bars are getting smaller. A Mars bar now is like a fun size one. Fook knows what the fun size is like.
Dame N'Doye out wide , another one of Steve Bruce's tactical masterstrokes Robertson should have been on today at least the lad looks to go forward at every opportunity
Aldi Fruit and Nut. Its better than Cadburys. I've moved onto the Gin. The tears wont be far away now Charlie.
It should have been rosey, robbo n Jelavic on and throw the kitchen sink today But Brucies logic was to put gas many players on who are capable of scoring a goal and see what happens
I wouldn't care if you could said we tried our hardest and there was a bit of desire amongst the players, you could walk away thinking we just aren't good enough. The issue is the players have shown before they are good enough, there is just not desire or passion.
Today was a day for grafters and battlers not luxury players and ball passers. Meyler should have started instead of Livermore and Bruce instead of Chester (who had a poor game today). Having said that, the 11 who were on the pitch lacked passion and energy and desire to win. Where was the spark? Where was the creativity from the midfield? We aren't down yet, but we have a hell of a mountain to climb and it is no longer in our own hands. Only glimmer of hope is that Livermore (in particular) and Huddlestone seem to produce their best when we play Spurs.
What stand out most for me is that over the last few month's we've become a hit it and hope team long ball after long ball, we've stopped playing football all we do is lump it up field, just as a side-line David Burns made a remark which I thought was spot on, " SB said before the game today, that we could never play as badly as we did at Burnley earlier in the season, on today performance it looks like the team took that remark as a challenge."
