I also noticed how all the Allam out nonsense stopped as soon as the penny dropped as to how much **** we were in.
No one died. Pull yourself together. You're not the only one feeling bad tonight but not everyone uses it as an excuse to **** things up for others (who couldn't care less).
As I said, it's bollocks. You may, or may not have had a bet on City losing. This in no way means you knew Burnley would win. It means you had a bet, against the team you purport to support, got lucky & won.
It's not the defeat, it's the manner of the defeat. Also, If you get full pay for doing half a shift why should you bother? It's the pay structure for these millionaires that wants sorting out.
I didn't question your thoughts. If you had said something along the lines of "I thought Burnley would win" it wouldn't have been bollocks, but you didn't, so it was.
I had a feeling after 30 mins our players were not interested, Burnley had just had a corner, goal mouth scramble, Harper holding the ball...............City players trudging out of our box with their heads down, why do we struggle to 'get up for' the more important games.
How you can put Elmo with your bad list is beyond me. He has not missed a single game in the Premiership and has a good record of assists. Today he was not at his best. But who else was?
nd That's the kind of technicality Allam's lawyers would pick up on. From my short time here you seem a better poster than picking up on spurious things, but maybe not.... I have said for months that we would lose this match. I was certain of it, absolutely certain, and I was proven right. So bicker over terminology all you want. I don't care. It amuses me how some people (not necessarily you) see betting against City as a barometer of support. I've had my biggest wins betting against City and my biggest losses betting for them to win. It means **** all.
Its because the 5 and 8 million players are not worth it. The hype, media, managers, pundits drive the price up and up. There are loads of good hard working players in the lower leagues who never get a chance. Then there is this need to constantly improve the squad with "better" ( more expensive ) players. Just because we get to the premier league we have to sell our 3 million players and replace them with 7 or 8 million ones, we have the money now. As a last point there are a few players worth what's paid for them and they add value to the team but these are few and far between at our level.
As I said - I was a little riled up - but his attitude today and in some other key games was piss poor, that can't be denied. Plus his dying swan act against Arsenal was simply embarrassing
He has a point (albeit not much of an excuse), since Dawson looked hardly bloodied up and would have carried on. When a forward has to go off for a minute it doesn't usually effect to outcome, but insisting a central defender goes off when the opposition has a corner, the opposition hurls into the box knowing the defence is depleted. Also, Sunderland got two highly fortuitous deflected goals today. So it's up to us now and only four points minimum will do.
