I think the writing was on the wall for us from day one when we lost Snodgrass. This was followed by the most incredible run of injuries to our key players in the history of the game. Couple this with the fact that despite 6 points from Palace and Liverpool to put us in with a good chance to survive, Sunderland were gifted 2 penalties and 2 deflections to retaliate with 6 points of their own.
I honestly cannot see us getting anything from the last 2 games so I would expect us to be relegated. In this event, and looking at Steve Bruce's face, I now believe that he will resign.
Massive clear out next season either way.
These are the highs and lows of being a Hull City supporter and today was one of the lows.

Yep he has to go really. Why he is scared of dropping Huddlestone I don't know. Clear out needed. I think we will drop through the leagues tbh.

Judging by how Spurs collapsed against Stoke, I'd say they are on the beach.

Plus, let's not forget, your 'non goal scoring' forward Danny Graham was the one that started the rot today by scoring Sunderland's opener.

Even with our stilted attacking, having a player on the pitch who can score 20 yard free kicks and beat the first man on corners would probably have made enough of a difference.

Does anyone know how many we've scored this season from set pieces?

I only saw the second half but some of Huddlestone's distribution was really quite stylish. Trouble is he's too slow and he distributes it in the wrong direction. He's a case of style over substance. There had to be a reason Tottenham didn't want him?

Bore off Lewis. You've moaned at any opportunity we lose all season and when we win/play well - you're nowhere to be seen.

Today was massively disappointing but we aren't down yet - we might not go down at all. Despite how we looked today, Newcastle are looking a lot lot worse and our next game (Tottenham) have already booked in at the airport.

Let's hope so. We could do with them returning the favour of going down to 10 men anarl.

That's right. It's not all over yet. Apparently Stoke beat a tired looking Spurs team 3 - 0 so there is hope for next week.

I have a friend in Brighton I can meet up with when we play there, so that's nice. A sunny day down by the river at Fulham is always a good day out. Charlton is just down the road, QPR's not far. Sigh.

I heard on the BBC that was his 1st goal for sunderland .

Edit and the shot came from someone else it was deflected off Danny Graham. Don't think we can call him the next Messi or Ronaldo just yet.

Yes absolutely. Stuck with his awful tactics for another 3 years. He might resign anyway.

I've just managed to calm down now... but this is how I felt after coming home.

I've honestly never seen a group of players who are at opposite ends of the spectrum for me.
Let's start with the good - players like Quinny, Dawson, Robertson, McShane, Harper and Brady give everything for the shirt and clearly care for Hull City. Keep them next year (Harper as a coach) and let them be the baseline for a promotion challenge.

Now the bad - We have a manager who has signed inept footballers in the Premier League era, and has let two outstanding footballers who I believe would stroll into our midfield right now - in Corry Evans and Tom Cairney leave the club. Huddlestone and Livermore have become a disgrace to our shirt, N'Doye is shifted out to a position of irrelevance, Hernandez is simply the biggest waste of money in the PL's history, Elmo can be an embarassment - and these players walks into the team instead of players such as Alex Bruce, Meyler and Liam Rosenior who respect the club and give EVERYTHING they have for the team.

I enjoy watching the team win, but even if we lose I want to see passion, grit and determination just like Burnley had today. Should never have sold players such as Boyd, Matty Fryatt, Corry Evans and possibly Koren (could always spark a moment of magic at the end of a game).

Today I was embarrassed to watch some of our players - who are simply there for the money and to be big fishes in little ponds. Good riddence to Elmo, Huddlestone, Livermore, Hernandez - and I'll be sorry to see players such as Jelavic, Chester and Robertson probably go because they have proven that they're extremely capable of playing in the Premier League. Time to build again with the passionate type of player we had in 2012/13.

Plus giving Steve Bruce a 3 year deal whilst were in a relegation fight was simply ridiculous - in some games our players have been "relaxed" when they should have been up for the fight. Time to grab them by the scruff of their neck and kick them up the arse if they want to play for us.

1/3 to be relegated with Sky Bet. It's not looking good.
