Same old story... Just ****ing depressing how little fight we have. Don't know what's wrong. Different manager similar story.
I could see us losing, Brady, Robertson, N'Doye, and Chester and trying to get rid of Huddlestone and Livermore.
All of our opposition must practice against crosses all week long, mainly from the right as Elmo is the one mainly supplied.
It's still mathematically possible but even as a positive City fan I'm finding it hard to see a way out of this. Frankly, we've done little to suggest apart from Palace and Liverpool we deserve to stay up. Only got ourselves to blame. Had to be ****ing Burnley though!
I've said for years. Elmo being the talisman man he is, I usually get stick for it but it's just the same **** all the time, cross cross cross.
How often do we actually play the ball on the floor through the middle? It wouldn't be so bad if we had a target man to head in the constant stream of **** crosses but we don't have anyone capable of heading the ball.
Still a lot to play for but it looks like you've got your work cut out for you. Worst comes to worst Bruce is a very good championship manager and you've got a lot of players who can boss it at that level.
Which is why we needed Robertson on the left with Brady and Quinny just behind the strikers, and we sure as hell need a more mobile creative midfielder than Huddlestone. Doing it the hard way © Hull City.
Always an optimist but I honestly can not see a way back after today. They completely bottled it. I wonder how much the Sunderland result effected them. We really should not be in this position with the players we have, they have let us down this season with some extremely lacklustre displays. Lets see who we keep next season and hopefully we can do a Newcastle and come back up.
Yeh Elmo had a great chance and couldn't do it. Our best headers might even be in defence with Dawson and Chester.
We don't have any central midfielders that:- a) Are offensively minded and can play defence splitting passes into the paths of our forwards b) Are told to play high up the field and press the opposition midfield/defence, and then play their defence splitting passes. * Please delete as appropriate
