Everton v Sunderland Aston Villa v West Ham Leicester v Southampton Newcastle v West Brom Stoke v Tottenham Crystal Palace v Man Utd Man City v QPR Chelsea v Liverpool It goes without saying we need Everton, WHam and Soton to get their act together.
Must remember to post this again on Sunderland's board later today when they lose to Everton... [/QUOTE] You're going down red knights .....
Surely Everton, WH, WB & Soton won't out all fadge out today. I could see Sunderland getting a result, Everton have a soft centre with Martinez, and I sure as **** hope Southampton aren't just going to piss around this week. Leicester won't be, so they'll need to show the same if they don't want to get brushed aside. Think Newcastle still look too deep in crisis to win, maybe a **** draw. Villa will win. So, in summary, we need to ****ing win because these ****s can't be trusted.
Derek McGoverns take on Newcastle After last week's mauling at Leicester, Newcastle players need to stand in front of a mirror and take a long soft look at themselves. Some say the Toon will stay up because they have two home games left to come against non-triers, but Newcastle have turned non-trying into an art form, without trying. Skipper Fabio Coloccini has written an open letter to fans - that open letter being O to denote how many points they expect to pick up before the season ends. In it Coloccini says Newcastle face"three cup finals" - disastrous news given the way Newcastle have performed in their last three cup finals. That old quiz question - what is taken to the FA Cup final but never used? - for years had 'the losers' ribbons' as its answer but in recent times the response has changed to 'Newcastle.' Despite slaughtering defender Mike Williamson on Saturday, interim boss John Carver was earlier this week given a stay of execution - he was told by fans 'if you stay we'll execute you.' Carver looks a man so out of his depth you half-expect him to turn up at his press conference wearing water wings. He told reporters earlier this week that he believes he's the best coach in the Premier League - he probably wasn't even the best coach in the room. The fact that he has been given the thumbs-up to stay in charge is the first clue that Newcastle don't appear to be bothered about relegation. Their approach to Steve McClaren is the second clue. Toon are 5-1 to go down and I really can't see why they won't. More immediately, West Brom are around 2-1 to beat them today. I prefer that bet - I get my money quicker that way. **
Sunderland is the most important game as I don't see them winning another of their games after this one. A loss today pretty much relegates them and a loss today and a win by us certainly should relegate them. Also I really think that if they win and we lose or draw that we will be relegated so it's all down to what happens in these two games.
I thought the referee pissed Southampton about, they didn't play badly. It helps a lot if the referee keeps it 11 against 11, then the best team won't get beaten.
I Just hope today the Lads at the club , say to themselves, Do you know what , **** It , It's in our hands , let's stop doing it the hard way & just ****in Steam Roll the opposition today. So we know where We'll be at in or around the end of the season.
Sun'land sticking with their three-strikers approach (or two plus Graham, anyway). This Everton team are capable of trussing them up like chickens, but they've struggled for consistency. Fingers crossed Everton have one of their livelier days.
I did some research, Everton haven't even conceded at home in their last 4/5 games. They're solid at Goodison at the moment, Sunderland got two soft penalties so I don't expect them to outscore Everton today
If someone hasn't said that to them then someone needs to be fired. You have to go into today positive, and that's the most positive way to look at it.
Can see Sunderland winning this one! Adding to the pressure when we kick off knowing we have to win!! Knowing our luck...
Elle I'll go in meesen & blurt it out in the Dresser. If It needs saying. Theres such a tight group , spirit wise in the team. The Irish contingency & the full blooding from everyone from the Championship , they will be (hopefully) in the build up , just formulating a gameplan to put this to bed. Since 2008 , the 2 seasons were giving all the supporters Heart palpitations , and with the help of Leeds to secure promotion & last season as well. Everyone knows the Intensity of feelings following the results of The Tigers. If this season drags out until next week , where we need a Crucial 3 points to stay up. I will Scream. Today's the Day...........
Chazz , My Literacy teacher tells me , that my spoken word is actually much better. Just still needs work on the written comprehension.
Surely Everton have to score soon. They're all over them. Naarwich just scored against the run of play in the Old Farm game.
