It wouldn't be the Marmite which caused the problem in that case! I actually love the stuff, but I understand the deep divisions in society it causes.
See this forum is ok. We can talk about politics without people losing their **** over it. On the over forum I am on it's basically Labour supporters going on about moving to Scotland and calling the Cons the end of the world.

Not only was it an opportunity missed, but 1] the electorate didn't care about it then, 2] they were informed that it was a good thing not to care about it then, 3] now if most of the country gave it a thought they'd wish they had taken it far more seriously. Alternative Vote is actually not a bad form of Proportional Representation. It's not in anyway perfect, but it's a damn sight better than First-Past-The-Post because your vote gets you representation. At present I am entirely unrepresented.
