I like Russell Brand, he sticks up for working class people and tries to take a tough stance on big businesses, but to post 300 odd videos on more or less the same ideals and then completely change and support Labour a week before an election was crazy
I gave Brand the benefit of the doubt, but I don't care what he has to say now. Also, sincerely dislike the fact he pretends he can have an influence on his viewers.
In an fickle effort to distract from the election fallout I might as well ask if anyone here is as excited as me about the new Tool album. Some of their songs like Lateralus and Vicarious are up there amongst the best ever for me and if even one of those new songs gets within pissing of the classics I'll be happy to declare it a success overall.
Really gutting for some of these really good, hardworking, honest, and loyal Lib Dems who have been trounced because of the top table of the party wanting to jump in with the Tories. Tessa Munt in tears at her count. Very sad.
I agree 100% . The true lib dem suppoters / workers are carrying the can for the seniors selling their souls .
Heartbreaking for Tessa. I've met her a couple of times and she is a lovely person. She resigned from her PPS post so she could campaign against fracking in Somerset, which proves she puts principles before personal kudos. And as you say, many of her colleagues in Parliament were shafted by Clegg, Cable and co.
I actually agree with you for once! I have no sympathy for Clegg after he had tears at the end of his resignation speech. He jumped at the chance to become deputy PM without thinking of the consequences. It was always going to end like this - only one party was going to benefit from the coalition in the long run.
I'm almost torn on this. I think perhaps Clegg acted with the countries interest when jumping in bed with the Tories and has been instrumental in holding back some of their more unpleasant characteristic whilst being in office. I fear that with a majority we'll now see just how bad it can get. Very, very happy to be proved wrong though.
Also, agreed. But they fobbed us off with a vote on AV - so we showed that we don't want change, apparently.
