Cameron has had a great 12 hours. Wins a majority election, and 3 of his rivals quit. He'll be very pleased with taking Farage down.
Yep. Seems to be a 'normal' person tho. He has been mates with my uncle for years and doesn't seem out of touch. It will probably change now tho....
IMO Miliband can talk the talk, but would not be able to walk the walk. I voted Tories mainly because I had very major doubts about his ability to be PM. A lot of his policies were fundamentally flawed IMO - raising minimum wage to £8/hour would not have ended well IMO.
Brenda Rogers (Prat): Liverpool (red) to Newcastle (NE Independent Party) John Carver (best Coach in the World): Newcastle to Forest Green Rovers (Green)
And there it is. The Conservatives have officially got a majority, with their 326th seat. Are there any seats left on that Mars flight?
I won't majorly slag of any MP. Milibrand for me was too weak. So I voted for the okish Cameron. Voting for Green didn't make sense and Lib Dem's are basically done. UKIP are UKIP.But the one person I can't stop disliking is Salmond. His face just looks too punchable.
Still staggered by this result: every opinion poll leading up to the election was so wrong. Exit poll even underestimated the Tory vote.
I think that it what he likes though. I actually admire him as a politician. He transformed the SNP as a party.
I just turn the TV over everytime he is on. I also think Scotland will be independent in a few years. But I also think they would have been if Labour had won.
Well if Labour had won, they would have held at least half the seats in Scotland. North of the border, Scottish Labour isn't left-wing enough, and in England, it isn't right wing enough.
I'm going to go for three leader predictions: UKIP: Douglas Carswell LibDems: Tim Farron Labour: Yvette Cooper - I think they will go for a woman. Personally, I would favour someone like Chukka Umunna. Not perfect by any means, but would have appeal in England I think.
The real disappointment was the alternative option they proposed. With a straight Proportional Representation vote, they may have won.
