Morning all, still a bit breezy here, but dry at present. The garage owner, the one who has clean hands, told me yesterday that I was quite lucky when I went to see about getting my car window to open. He suggested it could have been far worse if it had stuck in the open position. Anyway man with oily hands is on holiday this week, so I will have to wait until Monday to get it fixed, but it should be all done before the holiday. Every cloud has a ........!
Morning all, terrible accident between Northwood and Rickmansworth this morning so lesson cancelled coz i can't get there . A few cars involved and it doesn't look good, hope it's not been fatal but with fire engines and ambulances i'm not sure. All surrounding areas are snarled and drivers are being incredibly selfish just to gain an inch, think I might go back to bed!

A lovely morning here, but quite a heavy dew on the grass at present. The French news today suggests that the UK could be spending a long time after this election trying to form a stable government. At the recent elections here, the conservatives and liberals had formed a coalition before the election to fight off the FN and it mainly worked. The ruling party of course was never going to win very much, but they were unable to even get agreement with the extreme left and the more moderates fighting the election together.

Says two thing to me - what a nasty greedy grasping woman and what a bunch of idiots they were not to put a limit or other restrictions on the "meal" and then once it happened not to accpet it with good grace and maybe get a little good publicity whilst vowing next time they would be more careful - £700 to a car dealer !!!
The drinks bill was a bit cheeky. Strangely enough the last two expensive meals Mr H and I have eaten both ended with significant reductions...one entirely free after they managed to break a chip of glass and served it up in a ham hock terrine and the other free desserts and brandy after the main turbot fish course was seriously undercooked and had to be sent back to be done again.
I agree entirely about the woman. That's just taking the proverbial. Could have had a lovely meal without being so greedy. One guesses that her friends and colleagues may not trust her very much in the future...
