Their name change, new kit, ground and new badge seems to have worked well. :bandit:

Seriously, I don't know enough about it to know the truth, but I know few local teams and players have 'reservations' about what's happened there. I've not heard of any former St Andrews people grumbling, and Hall Rd Rangers, seem to have found a decent new home.

They certainly seem to have got a good thing going there, I hope it grows from strength to strength.

They're playing Brid Town in the ER Senior Cup Final at the KC on Monday kick-off 7pm

No idea what ticket prices are but a chance to support both clubs (Brid Town's Chairman Pete Smurthwaite does a lot
    for local amateur sport).

Where are Hall Road playing? They'll be in the same league next season.

The St Andrews people were involved in becoming Hull United. The CEO of Hull United was from St Andrews. It wasn't a forced change and there was no resistance to it. They bought the ground from Hall Road Rangers. It's not comparable to the Allam situation at all.

I never knew Hall Rd Rangers owned the ground. I thought they were struggling tenants.

They've bought the ground, my understanding was that it was from Hall Road but thinking about it they could well have been just tenants.

No, but they beat Sculcoates with 10 men in the quarter final. From watching their games, they're clearly a cut above everyone else in the HPL and I'm sure would have won the league if they'd had their current squad from the start of the season.

    But indeed, well done Sculcoates.

I just hope they can spare enough police for such a potentially volatile local derby. Will the police be asking for all the local pubs to be shut?

My understanding is that they were just tenants, that haven't sorted a deal with the current owners and have been pushed into a move from their long standing home to Haworth Park.

If it was any different, I don't see why Hall Rd had struggled for investors for so long, and they'd have ended up being the wealthiest amateur club in the Country.

I'm only getting a version from some indirectly affected, so can't say this version's 100% accurate.

Are they going for promotion out of that league then ? They obviously have far more money than anybody else and surely that must be the aim

They applied for promotion and I think they're the only team who did so. They're going to finish 2nd or 3rd depending on Crown's last two results. You only need to finish top 5 for promotion so they'll go up. They'll be in NCEL Div 1 next season.

The plan was always to have a second Hull side playing at a senior non-league level. Be interesting to see how high they can actually go.

I dunno how sustainable it is financially because lifetime season tickets are free and now they've got their own bar the drinks are cheap too.

Didnt George, cant remember his second name, who owned a taxi firm own it still or his family. Gary i think his lad is called.
All very strange as didnt Jamie Barnwell used to run/manage/Chairman of Hall rd?

His lad Gary played in goal for us for a bit. He was a bit of lad back then. Erratic sums it up.
