hurrah! some good news. http://www.football-league.co.uk/ne...e-signs-ground-breaking-tv-deals-2440705.aspx no more manish or clarridge, with their obvious favoritism. on at a reasonable time too so will hopefully draw bigger audiences.
I detested the FLS and Manish. And clarridge. And pretty much any of the guests with the exception of chris Sutton - who seemed a natural and very insightful.
it's a godsend, the show put me off watching the football league altogether. 1 min for each club is a pittance. you'd have thought that with full highlight rights some tv station would have done something clever like making the show available in 3 options - one for each league on a red button say, and then do a good chunk of highlights for each match. i used to watch the FLS, have to put up with 25 mins of everyone else before 1 min of charlton, and then watch another 40 mins of leagues that were of no interest.
To be fair they loved talking about us when Powell was here. I never understood why on the highlight bits the commentator would tell you the result before the goals.
When it comes to football highlights shows, I record them first and then fast-forward through all the dross. As for live matches, I watch them on a 15 minute delay: no adverts and inane bunny. Come to think of it, I rarely watch anything in real time.
I rarely watch anything in real time. So even live matches I'm at least 10 mins behind. This has caught me nearly caught me out a couple of times with in play betting!
I'm no longer a gambling man so that doesn't affect me, but I have developed a rather annoying habit of watching matches on a +2 fast forward. England matches get the +30 treatment.
