Why does it matter what Newspaper it came from? If the guy's correct (which he apparently usually is) then it's great news for us. How am I lining Murdoch's pockets with cash by reporting what a ST reporter is saying about us?

If you couldn't agree personal terms with Lonergan, don't you expect to have trouble agreeing terms with a bloke who was, until very recently, on £35k a week?

If you're after overpaid players at the end of their careers, I could sort you a very good deal on Kevin 'killer' Kilbane, just let me know if you're interested. <ok>

Nicky's never actually won player of the year for us, though he probably should have done.

Who won it for you last season, Paynter? <whistle>

Very well thanks, he's away with the squad at the training camp in Slovenia and it looks like we've decided to keep him and he's back in the first team squad.

He's the most talented midfielder in the league, we might as well play him. <ok>

Does Nicky Barmby actually go to the changing rooms on match days or does he go straight to his box?

A Hull fan trying to goad us over 30+ year old midfielders <laugh>. It's like the Millwall fans telling us all our players are leaving!

He can still turn a game, he'll never start for us now, but he's still handy to have on the bench(his main role is now as the youth team coach).

We'll probably have the youngest starting XI in the league next season.

Decided to keep him!!

Do you mind if I rephrase that slightly? ....................

“We tried to off load him to every club under the sun but no one was stupid enough to pay his exorbitant wage demands, so we HAVE to keep him.”

There are several clubs who want him, but none that are willing to exceed £30k a week and our new owner has decided he'd rather fund the full wage, than pay £15-20k a week for him to play for someone else.

I think there's still a fair bit of posturing going on, I still wouldn't be surprised if he was gone by the start of the season.

Good signing.....better than Montgomery and Smith.
Prem experience and what we needed last year... a tough tackler Batty like....oh and he got sent off a bit as well!!!! and in this day and age he would have got sent off even more ;)

LB...CM...maybe a loan CB young if Lees does not do well on tour...

QPR still looks the most likely destination, Leicester are too busy buying everyone else.
