Will Rodgers ever be a big enough name to attract top talent? Will we ever be willing to pay Utd level wages to get them!? Who knows....fact is that, in this case, if LVG wanted him, he would always end up there.

Yup,the dutch connection. I don't really feel one way or the other about this Depay signing.
Havn't seen anywhere near enough of him to judge one way or the other

You were never front runners. Ever.

Depay has beem a United player in waiting for a year. Only reason he didnt sign last summer is van Gaal told him to stay one more year at PSV to develop his game more.

Rodgers needs to make better use of his Northern Irish connections. You can have Johnny Evans if you like.

Depays one of those players who could well go on and become one of the best in the game.

Ive watched him a few times this year but the stand out game, that signalled the potential he has, was a friendly v Spain. He just looked the genuine article.

Also europes best free kick taker the past 24 months.

  7. Funny how you've suddenly announced your admiration for the lad and declared him a world class talent now it's looks like Man Utd are signing him <whistle>

Nani is hardly a flop. Hes been our poty once, runner up in pl poty, highest assist maker across 3 years (09-132) and regularly selected for our biggest games.

He tailed off towards the end but he was a pretty solid player. That 18 months around 2010 was the best player this league has seen since Ronaldo and before Suarez' season of his life.

It would be funny if I hadnt been singing his praises and saying weve signed him for months <laugh>

Thus ends my terrible prediction history! Been on a very bad run this season <laugh>

    Different kind of players.

Depay is a wing forward. More likely to score than assist. Di Maria is a lcm/lw. Unlikely to score but will get you an assist.

Di maria will either stay out on the right wing or play behind Depay. Thats only likely agaisnt more open opponents though.

It's alright lads, none of us have really seen him. Best thing to do is just say he's ****. You have a 50/50 chance of being right. In 12 months you can claim you knew all along...or if he's a hit no one will remember the thread anyway <ok>

    Marcel Brands said last week-
“PSG and Liverpool are indeed a step ahead of Manchester United in the race to sign Memphis. United have only informed us about their interest,”
“The list of interested clubs has grown in recent weeks. But Bayern Munich are not among the teams that want to sign him.”

We all know agents are 100% accurate and never lie or embellish the truth to try and get a better dear.

He's hardly going to say "United are the only team interested and front runners" as United then say ok, here's 70k a week take it or leave it...

Instead now he can go well, 70k, other teams are ahead so you'd need to offer more... United - ok here's 100k.

Wow this hilarious. Hardly a flop. Best player in 2010. Dont get me wrong cause he could pull some magic out of the bag but he was so inconsistent. More bad than good and when he was bad you were playing with 9 men (1 cause he aint around and -1 cause he just lost the ball). Hes so bad that even though you had no wingers last year he barely got a look in.

  16. Don't worry, UIR will agree with you once Nani leaves :)

That Suarez is amazing. He must be setting up Sterling by remote control, seeing he's scored more this season than last. <whistle>

I wonder what clubs Borini and his agent are using to bump up the interest in him........

Oldham, tranmere, QPR and Sunderland are my bet<ok>
