This is no time for a siesta!!! It was May the 4th this week and Slow I am in doing this thread.. the force to do this thread wasn't strong and I was turned by the dark side, Champions League Football, which delayed this thread.. it did! Anyhoo... first European race of the year.. most teams will be bringing with them their first major update package.. But will these packages be enough to close the gap on the Mercs? Will the Shorter nose on the Red Bulls and Lotus help them close the gap on Williams, Will Williams be able to bridge the gap to Ferrari? Will the new McHonda livery make them go quicker? Are they HRT in disguise? Will Honda allow them to turn their engines up to 6? Will the Rookies perform better now most of them will be racing on circuits they're more familiar with? Will Good or Evil Maldonado turnup? Will I stop asking questions that start with Will? please log in to view this image Will it be more of this? please log in to view this image Or will this chap have a say in who gets the top spot on the podium? Have Redbull had their way in their bid to slow down the Mercs? please log in to view this image Paul Hembery, Pirelli motorsport director: “One of the things we have noticed so far is that this year Barcelona will once again be a front-limited circuit, from a tyre perspective. Last year, the increase in traction and torque from the cars meant that for the first time the race became a rear-limited event, with the useful life of the rear tyres dictating the pit stop strategy. Thanks to the improvements we made to the rear tyre construction for this year, we’re back to Barcelona being a front-limited circuit again. However, we do not expect this to mean that there will necessarily be more pit stops this year: last year the majority of competitors used a two-stop strategy and that will probably be the case again. The biggest unknown factor will be the weather: in the past we have seen some very hot weather in Barcelona, but it isn’t always guaranteed.” please log in to view this image please log in to view this image Date/Times for sessions... I may not be about on the forum for this race as I had a little suprise on Monday. My wife gave birth a month early! But excited that me and my boy baby 'Jenson' (my wife chose the name) will snooze in front of the telly for our first GP!
Congrats Bando!! Wishing your misses and the baby good health.. Give up on sleep for the next couple of years!
Someones about to lose some pennies. I'm sure he has a few spare. AUTOSPORT Live @autosportlive 2m2 minutes ago Rosberg is under investigation for missing the bollard at the pit entry just a few minutes ago.
Theres either been some anomaly/mistake or the two Mercedes were on vastly different downforce setups. Rosberg didn't even make the top 10 whilst Hamilton was out front by a distance? please log in to view this image
Congrats. I can get one of mine to sleep through, the other two try to show an interest but usually end up wandering off to go and find the toy box.........
