That's like Patty congratulating Tigerpants. I noticed a very interesting thing yesterday. On the Facebook fan pages, there's a significant amount of 'Allam can do what he likes/staying the Premier League is more important than the name/he's rich he must know what he's doing' types, who try admirably to defend the indefensible at every opportunity. SGJ's post was posted on two of those pages and none of those types have posted on those threads.
I'm not certain what it means, but all votes seem to be against the name change, but loud or otherwise, the city till we die chant is from a minority in the ground, and the Allam Out from even less. That will possibly be more so next season as people leave. Twitter and facebook seem fairly meaningless to me, there's far too much noise and not enough fact. I think most moderates won't bother posting on here, because anyone not brandishing a pitch fork is shouted down, which is a shame.
Ben, can you do one of your investigations into Smartarse's 'what lies?' Question and his suggestion that Allam hasn't gone back on his word? I'll start you off: "I give you my word, I will not change if no benefit." Does my signature still have that quote about not changing the badge? That one too He's such a lying **** I can't believe people still pretend he's never told us a lie. I know you've got this Ben. Cheers.
Nah, I can't be arsed to get dragged through that. There's been quite a few, the point being these things work both ways, there's little mileage in dragging it on.
I think that also applies both ways. You're also confirming what I posted about why moderate types don't bother posting on here or support the trust.
It doesn't apply both ways at all. I said Allam's a liar and listed some of his lies. You accused 'the other side' of also lying but you won't say which of Allam's various enemies you're referring to or what lies you're referring to. I assume you meant the fans who are anti Allam and/or anti Hull Tigers, but I'm quite confident in saying that they haven't told lies. Calling someone a liar is quite a strong claim so it needs to have some firm basis. If you don't want to do that that's fine, but it makes the accusation invalid and almost cowardly.
You've just made an innacurate claim in your last reply. I never mentioned lies. Twisting words is far more cowardly, or just ignorant. Like I said, it's a pointless game.
Ok fair play you didn't say lied, but that was the way it came across. Apologies. So to clarify, you're not saying that parties involved in this situation other than the Allams have told lies?
I'm saying some of the stuff posted from both sides has been wrong and/or inaccurate or misleading. I'm saying the game you're trying to play is daft, pretty much pointless and adds nothing to the discussion.
except I'm Very comfortable in my stance on the matter. I don't pretend I'm holier than thou and then end up just shouting Something for a couple mins on a Saturday afternoon ... Sometimes nothing is better than a tiny bit... Just ask any woman
