Did anyone see that jacket Alves was wearing before the game?? kinell Cagey affair, chance for Neymar there.
Aggressive play by keepin at 62nd minute keeps this scoreless. Hats off to the way Munich is playing.
Messi just knocked it up a notch. ****ing class that lad. There's the difference - Ronaldo scores a 2 yard tap, Messi scores a rocket then a chip, both against the best GK in the World.
Probably the best footballer ever to grace the planet. He really is incredible. But can he do it on a cold and wet Tuesday night at Stoke?
They really need to drop the FC from Barcelona and shorten their name to the Catalan Dragons to progress though.
Love the way Boateng falls on his arse trying to keep up with Messi's skill and agility. He just got torn a new arsehole. It's gotta be said though, both those tippy tippy goals were boring as **** to watch. A Carroll and Nolan 70 yard punt/knockdown goal is far better entertainment.
Piers Morgan @piersmorgan 8m8 minutes ago I'd still rather have @Cristiano in my team than Messi. I'd rather have an unhacked phone, but hey...
Yes. I hope we never see the day in Hull when 90,000 City fans have to sit and endure the type of stuff we saw tonight.
I have really enjoyed both the champions league semi finals both extremely open for first legs. Would be great if real Madrid could get through to make an El Classico final, now I might stretch to fifty quid for that one.
Bayern had 10% more posession and made over 100 more passes. So much for 'boring tippy tappy' Barca. They're an incredible team to watch, anyone who says otherwise is kidding themselves.
Their playing style has changed dramatically since they dominated a couple of years ago. I found them boring before as they were more focused on keeping the ball than making opportunities, but adding Suarez and Neymar to the forward line have made them more like Madrid were at their best. Speed and counter attacking ability combined with the standard brilliant passing that typifies Barcelona have made them much better to watch.
If Bojan can then Messi should be able to. Its a shame he won't play elsewhere as that gives Ronaldo some bragging rights having played in other leagues and had success in them. Those two goals tonight in quick succession will live in the memory, pure genius.
