    Does this mean that in effect I'll be voting in a British general election?

    YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

    <party>

    I'll give it some considered thought, Sir Stanley.

    Well Stan, I've given it some thoughtful reflection & I guess it comes down to facts in the end. Given that Uber's first poll had me slap bang in between Plaid Cymru and the Green Party and his second poll had me at 50% Lib Dems and 50% Conservative Party, its really only gonna go one way, innit mate?

    The problem isn't that people don't vote, the problem is that so many people don't vote because they can't be bothered. Our right to vote also carries a right not to vote, but if you're going to vote for your party, vote tactically, or abstain, people should at least know (and be able to explain) why they are acting the way they do. Apathy is the worse state of mind to be in. Because it worries me that the future Government could well be decided by people who can't be arsed to get out of an armchair.

    Actually, of all the possible reasons why someone would vote Labour, that's one of the more compelling ones...

    My local TUSC candidate was handing out leaflets outside my station when I got back this evening. Haven't seen anybody from any of the other parties, or had any literature delivered at home as far as I know (any Tory stuff would probably have been binned before I saw it). I was still wavering between TUSC and Green, but the fact that this guy was there making the effort in person wins it.

    It means you've essentially voted for a man that nearly killed himself with a 3 Bar heater and a floor mat. Ed that is, not the local trot.

    (True story, he was a house guest to a party guy in his younger days and replaced the floor mat he set fire to with a Muslim prayer mat, the plank)

    I hope you feel dirty. :emoticon-0172-mooni

    Stroller what is TUSC? A Tied Up Screaming Conservative, a Trade Unionist Scottish Conservative (unlikely I suppose!) , Trust Your Screaming Lord sCutch, Tory's Under Scottish Contols, Time U Sucked the Candidate of Choice. Toss Up between the SNP and Conservative? Am I getting close?

    Stan said it already mate. Our poll is almost men only and mainly men over a certain age. That group tends to vote more Conservatively than young folk and birds.

    It's because their share of the vote would probably give them 50-60 seats in a PR system, with SNP on 25-30. As would the Greens. Labour and Toriea would be on the 200 mark.

    Where would UKIP find 60 candidates that weren't barking mad?

    Vote cast.

    Let's hope that in the morning, we are not giving our credit card details to the SNP to fund their massive shopping list...
