    So glad there is a player like Messi, who seems to be so humble yet for me number one in the world. Ronaldo even tho he is class(and number 2 in the world) can never compare to him.

    I missed the game as I was busy but just seen the goals. Wow, wow, and a thousand times wow. Hopefully they'll do a Football Mavericks episode about Lionel Messi someday soon. We are all privileged to have been around at the same time as a player of that genius, and I say that as someone who was mesmerised by Georgie Best, Johann Cruyff, and Matt Le Tiss.

    I have to admit for a while, when Messi was off form, I thought Ronaldo was the best player in the world. Not anymore. Messi is just in a league of his own when at his best.

    It's not just that. It's how both players carry theselves on and off the pitch. Ronaldo acts like a spoiled kid. Throwing strops or tantrums when others don't set him up to score. You only have to look at the Arbeloa goal the other day. Most of the Madrid players celebrate, then there is Ronaldo walking off moaning and shaking his head.
