So Newcastle fans have protested mainly by a) staying away from the stadium and b) holding up banners saying things like "We don't expect you to win we expect you to try" and apparently this scares the players and they warn their families to stay away.

Jesus Christ I hope they never play in Greece, Turkey, most of the German league, any eastern block league or Millwall. What a bunch of pansies, from what I've seen they haven't been turning up themselves let alone their loved ones. I actually think our protests have been pretty restrained considering what we're having to put up with.

It's about lack of effort Gordon. The players, the management, the owner. There's apathy from the top to the bottom of the club and that's the reason we have drifted down the league and lost 8 on the bounce. If the players go out and try their best but get relegated I can accept that, they're good enough to stay up but it may not work out. If the players go out and mince around the pitch looking bored then irrespective of results it's painful to watch.

You don't have a monopoly on being **** mate!

Got him free from Portsmouth, We've had him for five years, he's played consistently for the last 2 or 3. To the utter bemusement of everyone in the world except Carver and Pardew. I mean we let Yanga M'Biwa go cos we felt we were fine with Colo, Williamson and Taylor ffs.

MBiwa bossed ligue 1 he was absolutely outstanding before he went there, suspect at heading but French teams rarely bother with such irrelevant things!

Could read the game though, effortlessly. Maybe his confidence was shaken at Newcastle.

Mbiwa looked a bit lost when he played but in fairness he didn't get much of a chance, Pardew clearly didn't rate him and it is going to affect any player when the manager ranks them behind Taylor, Dummett and Williamson. In January we left Mbiwa and Santon go (and 8 other players) for a combined fee of around £8-10m. They would be pretty handy to have around now.

M'Biwa was even that bad for us lads, people say he must have been low on confidence etc. At centre back I saw him put in more great performances than bad ones, his shocking run of form came when Pardew decided he was a full back and put him on a streak of about 5 games at right back followed by 3 at left back. Then wrote him off as ****e. Beggars belief.
