It is completely ridiculous, I might have to stay away from Koemans for next few days, though I still see nothing wrong with an Election thread - other boards seem to have them. When oh when will people realise that they're all ****s, n the results of the election actually mean very little.

They maybe all ****s. But I still feel I have to vote. That's the only reason I have looked up about it a bit.

Cameron seems too self serving to be a decent PM, although I personally haven't done badly under the Tories... Like most voters, I'm pretty clueless. Milliband looks funny when he eats a sandwich, but Cameron eats a hot dog with knife and fork! Its a real brainer!

To the people that don't care about the election: don't comment about it and don't read the comments on it. This thread is for all off topic subjects and the election is one of those subjects.

Out of interest, not having a pop, but why do you feel that you HAVE to vote?

Was merely putting my point across <cheers>

While also pointing out that election threads seem to be working perfectly on other boards to keep it all together in one place... <ok>

You're entitled to your point, just as I'm entitled to voice my opinion. As for the election thread, there isn't much point as it will be over in a couple of days.

Even if it means doing a protest vote or leaving it blank I feel people should do it. Countless women (The Suffragettes etc) and men gave their lives so we could have freedom to vote in the way we want. I get a lot of people are disillusioned with the current state of politics. But I also feel people owe it to the people that gave their lifes so we could all vote as equals. So we should at least turn up at the polling station.

Fair enough <ok> Yeah you're right it will be over in a few days, just doing my head in having people at work go on about it and then come on here and reading about it, I just felt like I had to have my say <laugh>

Fair enough, each to their own I suppose, for what it's worth, for me it's not about the 'current state of politics' - it's just never interested me, and in my eyes none of them give a **** about us if we're honest about it. I just refuse to take part as I'm not voting for which group of people will essentially enslave us when realistically only 1 of 2 are ever gonna get in power and nothing will change drastically regardless of what happens.

Tom, I don't recall seeing many people say they don't care about the election. What I said was that I hate reading people's political views when they are so bias, narrow minded, immature and inflexible.

As for not reading them, that's a bit difficult if you are someone that reads this thread often.

Well, surely most people at this stage will be pretty inflexible and biased towards a party as the majority will have made up their minds by now on who to vote for.

Complete bollocks. The deficit Labour inherited in 1997 was actually halved by 2008 when the crash happened. The crash was a global event caused by the greed of bankers and speculators and was nothing to do with Labour. Gordon Brown, whatever you think of him as a PM, was actually a very astute Chancellor, who prevented the deficit becoming any worse than it did. And by the way, the deficit now is roughly double what it was in 2010 when the Tories took over and began privatising the NHS and giving tax breaks to their billionaire chums.

I won't be voting Labour on Thursday, but at least get your facts right.

Maybe, maybe not. Either way, the attitude of "if party x gets in there'll be devastation" is ridiculous and ticks my other two boxes and probably those two as well.

Which is why I don't like reading people's views.

It could be perfectly acceptable for someone still to be making up their mind. Not everyone needs to be die hard red, blue, yellow, purple or green. Too many people treat politics like supporting a football team. It is ok to think that some ideas from one party and some from another are good and that your final decision hasn't been made yet.

He is claiming the injury had got better in the week before the fight. He had injections etc in his shoulder and wrist. He said flared up when Mayweather landed a heavy hit on the shoulder during the fight. He may get off because of that.

Yeah I think he will get off but it's interesting to say the least! (probably more so than the actual fight!)
