I know all politicians sound worse off the record but this sort of thing appears to be indicative of this particular protest party.

Indeed. Golightly..! He'd go a little bit lighter if he wasn't wearing that gun. It wouldn't happen in Sweden.

PS4 Witcher 3 footage. It takes 40 mins (real time) to get from top to bottom of the map.

Just been researching and reading up on the election candidates for Southend. Well, I tried to.

No campaign material, no media, barely even a face from Peter Gwizdala of the Liberal Democrats.

He lives in Ipswich and has no connection to Southend. I've received nothing from him, or his party.

Such a shame some people are so half-arsed.

It's really disappointing. We used to have a really good candidate here, and he was making good headway.

He's now disappeared? And the new candidate was parachuted in 37 days before the election and I've seen nothing of him.

I'm now left with a dilemma. UKIP and Green - I won't vote for.

Leaving Labour - who don't inspire confidence in me, and Conservative - confident, long-term MP for Southend, who does listen to the people and serve well... but is, well, Conservative. He needs to stop saying "A vote for me, is a vote for David Cameron"

Voting Labour is a huge recipe for disaster IMO. They would form a coalition with SNP and SNP having even a tiny speck of power in this country would be a complete disaster.

Yeah, I feel it in my bones. A Labour government would be a disaster.

I'm not a Tory - far from it, I grew up in the darkest days of Maggie - but I agree. Labour will cave in and do a deal with the SNP just to get power, then we'll be in the hands of the Scots, so another referendum on Scottish independence (this time with the SNP being careful to ensure they win), Scotland leaving the union, which will cause a complete meltdown in our economy (who will want to invest in a country which is literally falling apart?) and Labour will try to spend their way out of the current economic troubles a la Greece, France and Spain (and look where they are).
On the other hand, the Tories say they'll have a referendum on Europe - where the ordinary man in the street, who doesn't understand the importance of us being in the EU and only gets told the negatives by the media, will, more than likely, vote for an exit. Which will put us even more into the dark ages .......
I'm seriously thinking of voting Green or Lib Dem just to try and keep the others in check - but I don't truly know!!!

    What is the alternative?

Another five years of Tory-led governance would surely be an even greater "disaster".

Unfortunately, due to our archaic, FPTP voting system, most will be faced with a decision between two evils and they can only hope to pick the lesser.

Labour is certainly not the answer but it's the closest we're going to get to it.

Yeah, it's not easy. I really don't want a referendum on EU membership, but I don't think I trust Labour.

That said, I do quite like Miliband in light of all the **** he's put up with from certain sections of the media.

I hate reading about people's views on politics. Anything other than their own view or party means we are heading for a disaster. Ridiculous.

And the media's even worse!! The Gruniad says if we don't vote Labour, we're all doomed and the Daily Fail says vote Tory or we're completely f*cked .........

And if we ever go for PR, we're never going to have a stable government (look at Italy) or a local MP to handle local issues ..............

    Confused of Southampton

For me it's Labour or Cons. But I have doubts with both.

Labour: I don't know if I can trust them to run the country.

Cons: Like making the poor poorer and cutting benefits for the ill/disabled.

The Sun is the best/worse at ripping into Milibrand. Kind of sad how biased they are. Probably because old Murdoch doesn't like Labour going after non doms.

Labour completely ****ed up our economy last time around. When the Tories took over from Labour there was a note left behind saying there was no money left! The party is ****ing clueless!
