Just now, my 6 year old said to me 'dad, I wanna go with you to the Toon on Saturday'.
That warmed my cockles as it will be his first game.
He will hopefully see improvements for the rest of his life if this game is his benchmark.

My 9 yr old said much the same thing. I however gave her choice of been sold to white slave traders after the match, or she could stay at home and remain free. She chose the latter.

Take the other end of the protest spectrum. For me, the protest didn't cut the issue of season ticket sales. We should have picked up on the irony of the first protest, with swathes of empty seats, posting an attendance of 47k. Should be two ways - if you're going, then go and support your club - scream and sing anti-regime songs. The middle ground of going along, paying your money then sitting and moaning is utterly pointless. Staying away from a winning team is when it becomes difficult, so do you want 51k people just kind of moaning or should it be concentrated anti-establishment themes, with the red card placards, anti-Ashley singing, anti-Sports Direct singing, hanging sheets over hoardings, all these kinds of fun tricks. Ashley abuses the club because he has a global audience. But so does everyone in the ground. Make a stand that way.

The stewards are the ones that make me fcking laugh, mind - it's almost Hitler-esque that these morons blithely follow orders even though more or less every one will be a Toon fan. Everyone should be encouraged to take up a new direction of making Ashley and Charnley a laughing stock, the whole world could see and the whole world would agree.

Great news that Aarons will feature tonight for the U21's. Could be the difference on saturday if the game is close with 10-15 mins to go.

Absolute lies. I'm surprised Chippy that you're regurgitating that nonsense at this time.

He goes missing DURING the game NOT before it.

I see young Aarons came through 45 mins without issue in tonights U21 game against Blackburn, which we won 4-2. Armstrong got a couple of the goals, Kemen & Roberts the other 2.
Might be worth having him on the bench for late in 2nd half , should he be needed..

I don't think our lot would beat them either!

Oh, I see what you mean.
Yes, give them a go. Might need to see which ones can make it for next season.

I'd vote anyone but me because in every game we've played I've been completely honest about whether I'm KGB or a Wolf <ok>

I was thinking the very same, but whenever i read about them they seem to get beat as much as the 1st team. The malaise seems to infect the whole ****ing club. Cant we just buy the whole of the Heed team and just ****ing play them. I am sure they would be better than this shower of shiite!

U-21's actually won. Arma scored twice, Aarons had 45 mins, Ferreyra played a game of football and some other kids chipped in.

Evening all, Surely he has to start De Jong & Cabella on Saturday. Obviously the left back situation is a worry, i must say I would prefer Jonas in there instead of Anita. Knowing JC though he will no doubt have plans to start Anita, Gouffran & Sammy.

Cabella, Armstrong and de Jong as a front three. Rest Perez, shoot riviere! Middle three of colback, abeid and sissoko. Back four of God knows.

The law of averages states this run will end at some point. I think it's this weekend

It was mentioned on the radio this evening that Sissoko has played CB at a previous club. I wouldn't think of it however. I think we have no other choice than to bring in one of the youth players at CB and, as I think that it looks for all the world like Ryan Taylor's legs have well and truly gone, I wold be forced into to picking Anita at RB and Jonas al LB if I was Carver. The defence is a joke right now. 1 available senior defender - I mean, WTF?

    Krul

    Anita - Satka - Colo - Jonas

    Sissoko - Colback - Abeid - Cabella

    Perez - De Jong

With the lack of a credible CF, I would think seriously about playing De Jong in a 'false #9' role and leaving their back four unsure of who to mark and suck them out to leave some space in behind. Then use the pace of Sissoko, Cabella and Perez to break when we get possession. For me, we cannot afford to play the likes of Raylor, Gouffran, Ameobi or Riviere any more. Jonas, Anita and Coloccini wouldn't be in there either if we had any alternatives. Hopefully we can get Cisse, Aarons and Roberts on the bench, along with Armstrong to give us some lively options off the bench.
