Funnily Dai, that's exactly what happened under the last Labour government.

You dont need to make this election complicated at all....If your life has improved under the tories in the last 5 years then continue to vote for them.....
If your living standards have dropped and your feeling the pinch more than you should then vote labour who will stop or slow down or even make the rich take the biggest hit.........that's the crux of the matter...

Dai, Labour have confirmed that they will balance the book by 2020. The deficit is still £70 billion. They will also have to make cuts on an astronomical scale. The trouble is, they haven't the humility and respect for the electorate to confirm where they will make said cuts. We will have a period of austerity under Labour. Only Plaid Cymru, SNP and the Greens want an end to the brutal austerity that Labour WILL enforce if elected into power.

That why I would vote the Greens, austerity doesn't work, but realistically none of these parties can get into power so I don't vote for them. But the conservatives intend to do cuts deeper, faster without due care. Labour is a lessor of two evils for me

Dont worry to much on the deficit we have always been in debt it is a meaningless term used in politics just like when you hear them say "in real terms" but we are still one of the top 4 richest countries in the world. Its all a ploy by the Tories to scare monger the masses. The Tories borrowed more than labour these past 5 years and i bet you or anyone can say who they borrowed off.......Dont over complicate issues as at the end of the day it comes down to who can give you the best quality of life and in my view these past 5 years have seen the rich get richer and the average working man/woman have seen their living standard dropping and that does not include the sick and disabled and the old age who are now struggling to eat or heat their homes.....

You're right. What a model city. Don't forget they gave us those wonderful bendy buses that really set off our derelict city centre. And of course lets not forget all the blue chip industry they brought here like the call centres and....well you know. I love the way they also sold us to the rest of the world with that accurate depiction of Swansea life - the Swansea love story films. SA1 again brilliant I hope some businesses move in one day. The success of Swansea City FC is down to several local businessmen and their conservative approach to running a football club. At least we've got a waterfront museum though.

Bendy bus ????? that was liberal backed up by the Tories..... Labour was not in favour <laugh>

A WELSH city's controversial planned bendy-bus network has been lampooned as "The Streetcar named Disaster".

Swansea Council has already come under severe pressure because of the multi-million-pound roadworks needed to allow the 60ft bendy-buses to negotiate the city centre.

Traders there have been given council tax rebates to compensate them because of the major disruption.

And Swansea's Civic Society has blasted the hole-strewn city centre as "filthy dirty".

Now a political website believed to be run by Labour opposition members on Swansea Council claims the 60ft-long new buses may not be able to turn around in the narrow streets of Morriston and Mumbles, threatening the whole scheme.

Taking its heading from the 1951 Marlon Brando film A Streetcar Named Desire, an article on the website claims the system could be heading for disaster.

And it highlights the fact people in the seaside city are concerned about the effect the major roadworks are having on Swansea's city centre.

Labour group leader on Swansea Council David Philips has already made his doubts about the scheme known.

He said, "A massive amount of money is being spent on this new scheme but it will be of very limited value.

The liberals gave us the bendy busses, so you are mistaken! Also regarding SA1 , have you noticed that a new campus is being built a little further down? Strictly speaking it's neath port Talbot , but that's a labour council as well. This promises to bring in a lot to our city over the years.

The Swans wouldn't be where we are without the council helping them over the years, most of those years have been under labour. And whilst a lot of the place needs investment, as the high street and kingsway looks like a third world country, you can bet it won't come with a Tory council, or another disastrous liberal combo!

So we should thank Labour for the state of Swansea today?

Labour have had almost total control for generations. Is it not time to let others try?

Yes you should thank labour for what they have achieved. the libs were tried by the voters but they failed big time with more in fighting between themselves and no progress. they reverted back to labour...

Umm they did try, we got the bendy busses, if you look at it there was a coalition in control from 2004 until 2012, and labour afterwards and before that.

Now tell me who do you want in charge again?
