Responding to my comment on Twitter that Igor's body language has been poor and that he is lazy, his missus @SARAH77S has replied that he has been injured "since October" and that it is therefore disrespectful to criticise him. If true, why has Charlton been fielding an injured centre forward fr the last six months? Fair play to her for putting herself out there defending her husband, but not quite sure she understands the covenant between a football club and its supporters.
Because the alternative is Simon Church. I wonder what @Sarah77S and Igor talk about over their dinners...
You have to assume that if a player is selected he's fit. If not the club is wrong. So what the hell is going on? There have not been any official statements about his fitness or otherwise, and there are other alternatives, Eagles could play up front for instance.
Maybe the fear of relegation... Better to have a half fit player than can score goals, than no one. But we have a great academy, so why didn't we give KAG more of a run out.
It's a strange saga, that gets stranger by the week. His wife has confirmed what most fans thought re an injury. So why the club not sought a reacement so igor could be rested? It sounds like they've failed him. Every workplace has a duty of care I thought? But again, it's "if" what his missus says is true.
It is a common practice, but shouldn't be done too much as it only masks the injury and can result in further damage. Players have often spoke about not liking this practice, and have spoken openly of it once leaving the club.
Didn't some players refuse to have them on Football Manager? They were normally transfer listed shortly afterwards...
Following on from him letting his wear an arsenal kit on the walk around, is he doing this deliberately to stick two fingers up to the club? Or am I reading too much In to it?
I reckon he is on a wind up Super, I hope and believe he won't be here next season, wether that is permanently or a loan who knows.
Yeah, I have a feeling he's been told he doesn't feature in the clubs plans so he's on the wind up. We should still manage to get some sort of fee.
Agreed. It was his way of having a non too subtle poke at the club. From what I have heard from behind the scenes (I am sounding a bit like Ben Hayes here, I Know...), Harriott is a Big Time Charlie.
He still got the award for his community work last season, and also has helped out on the ticket desk, so I'm not going by these rumours.
I like Harriott and would disappointed to see him leave, same with Moussa feel he can still offer something to the team but his last season was a disaster
Don't think there is space for both of them in the squad, unless they are first and second choice at left midfield which is scary thinking about. I think Moussa is good enough to be back up or to come off the bench late on but Harriott has had enough chances.
I'm personally done with the harriots now. If we are to make the next step up I can't see him involved. The jury is still out on moussa. I think he's decent, just had too many set backs last season.
