It had little to do with Labour supporting the Tories on independence, I suspect that people have eventually realised that labour are sell outs and liars who want to keep the Union because they thought they could put up a dog as a candidate in Scotland and it would be elected. Labour have taken Scotland for granted for as long as I recall, **** them, I hope they reap what they sowed.
Were going to punish Labour for not doing anything whilst not in power by ensuring they dont get into power
Calling Labour Red Tories for supporting Tories whilst SNP supported tories I know I ranted but it was in there
No, they're going to get punished because they have systematically let down Scotland whilst both in power and in opposition. They have taken Scotland for granted for too long. If they don't win enough seats in Scotland to form a Government at Westminster then it's their fault. Maybe it'll be a wake up call to Scottish Labour and they can start putting the interests of Scotland ahead of the needs of their counterparts in London.
They were in power for 15 years before the Tories and did hee haw for Scotland. Margaret Curran will tell everyone who wants to listen how much Labour has done for the underprivileged, I doubt her own constituents in Shettleston would agree. Them being some of the poorest in the whole of the UK. They are full of promises but they seldom keep them, that's why people are finished with them, except for the cretins who say "My father voted Labour, my grandfather voted Labour". That's the sort of stupidity that's got Scots the government they deserve for decades.
What are the interests of Scotland? Is it health? The SNP seem to be ruining that all by themselves even with the help of the private sector Education? SNP just taken a hit in the press over reading and writing failures in schools Living wage? SNP vote down living wage 5 times at least once blaming blaming the Europe (sounds a bit UKIP) but the EU (still called that?)say there is nothing stopping them Housing? Are they building affordable housing or council housing or has it fallen to its lowest level since 1947? The leadership of the SNP care only about swimming in oil money, they've convinced the mooks otherwise and are acting like jealous tramps after annabelle goldie stopped playing with their dingaling Vote SNP get excuses about the English
I'm not here to defend the SNP. I'm trying to explain to you why people are deserting the Labour Party. Why would I want to vote Labour? I was a member of the Labour Party in the 90s and campaigned for Blair et al. thinking it would lead to a sea change in British politics and what happened? An immoral and illegal war, the introduction of student fees and the beginnings of privatisation of the NHS (and much else besides). So, why should I vote Labour? Every time they get into power they betray everything they stand for. I don't refer to them as Red Tories. To me they're just water downed Tories which, in many ways, is even worse.
How many of them had jobs to get the minimum wage? The contrast between the quality of life for residents of Glasgow’s east end and western areas is staggering. The average life expectancy for males living in the Glasgow east end, Bridgeton and Queenslie neighbourhoods is 54 years, and 60% of the children living there live in households well below the poverty line. In contrast, residents of Glasgow’s upscale and sophisticated West End live to be 80 and virtually none of them are on the dole. The correlation between unemployment and poverty is well established. Nearly 30 % of Glasgow’s working age population, or 110,000 people, are unemployed, a rate’s that’s 50% higher than that of the rest of Scotland or the UK. Glasgow has the highest proportion of people claiming IB – the means tested government allowance for job seekers working fewer than 16 hours per week – in all of the UK.
