I think it is, 'cause from the right angle he doesn't even touch the player before he loses control of the ball.
OK I have found the item, it is at the bottom of page 42 of the Daily Echo newspaper. They have obviously made the same mistake about the red card.
I didn't mean that we didn't have a case, but is the effort worth it when it will be served after this weekend. If it is a matter of opinion (and these things often are), we could lose the appeal anyway.
I know. I would think that JWP would rather not have a red card on his CV, if he had a good case for having it rescinded. I think he does.
How long a ban do you get for not denying what is no longer a goalscoring opportunity because the player has lost control of the ball?
He came off straight after twisting his ankle. Cattermole caught him slightly and he twisted it a couple of strides after
.........whilst trying to put together an award winning dive no doubt! He is a very strong player when he chooses to be with an amazing ability to get his body between the ball and his opponent. I wish he'd use that ability more often and less the falling over side. I don't really think there was anything fake about this incident, I'm just being flippant. But in general terms he needs to stop falling over, you can see the refs already getting fed up with it.
Saw a comment elsewhere that Cattermole raked the back of Sadios leg with his studs, can't see any evidence of the incident on the highlights.
Surely they are going to appeal that red card. We were poor, as Koeman admitted, but it was never a red card.
Unlikely that it would be overturned, if it was, it would give us even more reason to think that the Referee cost us the game, can't have that sort of thing can we?
