Totally agree about passive smoking mate, and would add why should your clothes be sent to the laundry to get rid of my smoking stink? I'm 100% on the side of non-smokers on all that sort of points. It was interfering with a landlord's right to adapt his own premises to the law that was wrong.
Indeed - the worst anti social alcohol fuelled behaviour I have seen at a sporting venue has been at a couple of racecourses where the staff are pretty much encouraged to pour it down peoples' throats. Does seem as though they keep picking on football.
I'd agree with that, I never really got bothered by smoking in pubs because I used to be a smoker myself at the time, but I never liked smoking in a restaurant. I hated that, it was wrong on every level, I still have issues with this abroad, if somebody next to me is smoking and I'm eating or there's a table with kids on and somebody is smoking next to them, really bothers me.
Get in touch with Amnesty International if you like mate but I reckon this will fall pretty low on their list of violations of human rights. I can see where they're coming from on this... A lot of anti social behaviour is as a result of alcohol. That said... This is a ****ing stupid idea and if anything it will just harm clubs and see fans take to the pubs of a weekend day. Utter madness.
