It was excellent to start with, it obviously went silent when we went three down, but improved again second half.

Considering we were getting tonked for large parts of the game, I still think it was good support.

There was some noise to start with, but nothing of note when the team needed it. For me, that's not good support.

Understandable, but to claim it as excellent, or now good is stretching it in my view. I think sometimes, being nearer fools people into thinking it's louder.

From my N3 perspective. In the first half hour most songs were fairly loud. CTID was louder last night than Liverpool and was louder than its been for awhile. The Allam out afterwards wasn't as loud as Liverpool although the mood had hardened considerably on the concourse and around me.

It went flat when we went three down but picked up during the second half mainly thanks to the Arsenal fans. The Allam outs towards the end were louder than at 19 minutes and went on longer.

The Arsenal fans came usually across as a muffle but it looked louder than it sounded. Most of our songs were in response to them. I heard a "come on City" from the South East corner (I think) during the second half when we were quiet. Heard nothing from the east stand, which doesn't mean it didn't happen.

The boos weren't very loud were I was and seemed to come from the West Stand.

Considering we were outplayed by, perhaps, the best team to have visited the KC this season I'd say we did better then expected in the singing department.

Sounds about right to me does that.

I thought the North Stand responded pretty well considering we were getting spanked.

The accoustics obviously play a part, as does standing near others singing but the north didn't come over that loud from my seat. Arsenal certainly drowned most of it out.

My point was more it being described as "excellent" which it clearly wasn't.

I'm in E6, credit to the people near the front with the Allam Out banner which was raised on 19.04. A few boos second half when Allam Out chant started but not much.
Some dickhead texted in to Humberside after game blaming the Allam Out chants for the first goal, as it was scored 37 seconds after the chant started. Obviously had nothing to do with Huddlestone giving the ball away and Livermore tripping Ozil.

The only thing superior about S&B is his BNP ballot paper count.

Arsenal drowned it out because Arsenal used their ASI to their own advantage and increased their support - on top of that the Allams helped them enjoy the experience - the Allams reap what they sow - if they want to help their competitors then no-one should complain - they are clever businessmen - there must be some business acumen that we mere mortals do not understand although I've never seen any other example of helping your competitors to give you an advantage - maybe it will catch on in the future and the Allams are ahead of the game - or maybe they're just ****ing thick - who knows

Please enlighten me on how you evaluate the atmosphere, effect of certain chants etc when you're not even there?

Lots of booing in South stand west. Arsenal were louder than the North stand for much of last night; hard to do understand much of what they were on about though. The atmosphere reflected the state of the match and the divide among the city fans. A lot of those around where I sit seem to be coming out as pro Allam. Embarrassing.

All quite right, it was simply the "excellent" tag I was querying.

Being quiet for chunks of the game, and drowned out by away fans isn't excellent, no matter what the explanations or hearing problems. All that does is fudge the issues.

huh? that came out of the left field.

that's a bluenosed comment, but coming from you? hardly a surprise!
I was merely highlighting how you are a superior fan compared to me.

    .... or so you think!

You don't go to any games.

Logic dictates that anyone who goes to even one game is superior to you.

I'm looking forward to his response to this, I'll bet my last quid it doesn't make any sense.

ah so the minimum requirement of 'fandom' (that isn't a word but it fits) is to give the old Dr your money?
