I guess it's a new unwritten rule that against Arsenal defenders are allowed to use their hand to defend.
Jack is playing very well - and I can not see how you can say that wasn't handball and a pen when Jack shot...
On behalf of everyone at Arsenal not606, I would like to wish you all a very happy St Totteringham's Day. Every year the gap widens.
Good game, everything seemed to be clicking and our passing/interchange was awesome, though Giroud was a bit quiet, and they got around our FBs a bit to easy - allowing them to put some dangerous crosses in. But Sanchez, Santi, Ramsey, Ozil and Wilshere were unplayable!
Ozils style of football is almost orgasmic to watch at times... THAT flick.... Sanchez, santi and Ozil ran the show for me. Seeing wilshere and Walcott showing flashes of what they offer shows just how much depth and how many options we have. Good to see wilshere looking sharp. Hopefully Walcott sorts his contract situation and gets back to playing more. I'd love to see more of Walcott and Sanchez both on the pitch with ozil and Cazorla feeding them. For the goal we conceded I don't think there is much we could do. I think koscielny was fouled and the goal was scored from a position he would have occupied. Good result and keeps the journey to second place going.
Only need 1 point to be guaranteed....To drop out, we would have to basically lose all our games, and Liverpool would have to win all their games, and better our goal difference, our GD is 33, Liverpool is 11. So Liverpool would have to win all their 3 remaining games, we would have to lose all our games, AND Liverpool will have to score 22 goals in 3 games. Top 4 is basically in the bag, AGAIN.
Soo Sanchez has 24 goals this term now. As good as Hazard has been this term..surely Sanchez has been better?
Yes he has, if roles were reversed and we had Hazard and Chelski had Sanchez, Sanchez would have won the award, and everyone would be saying how Hazard is very good, but still needs to up his level to bring what Sanchez does in terms of goals, and work rate.
Was anyone else impressed that after we managed to win 3-1 playing some awesome attacking and counter-attacking football, all the Sky commentary focused on was that 'we're good, but not that good' and what players we need to make us better (apparently we need a top class striker, despite Girouds stats outperforming almost everyone, and Sanchez being the 1st Arsenal player to score 20 since Henry), and we need 3-4 other World Class players other than that. To quote Carragher "we have all the ornaments in the room but no major furniture"!
