    ......... again.

After Alan Shearer took Newcastle down it may be another Geordie legend, John Carver, who does the job this time and if reports in the Telegraph are correct they could have a Geordie manager & captain double act.

After a 'heated debate' on the team bus Sideshow might be ditched as captain. That could mean natural born leader, Jack Colback the ginger warrior, could lead Newcastle to the 2nd division. If this is Carver's best shot then the club must be absolutely desperate. Colback is a decent player but I've never actually seen him speak on the pitch and he's prone to hide when the going gets tough.

"Newcastle captain Fabricio Coloccini in bust-up with Tim Krul on team bus after Leicester defeat
Goalkeeper fumes over Fabricio Coloccini’s contribution while head coach admits players may not be listening to the club captain."

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...-Krul-on-team-bus-after-Leicester-defeat.html

"There is a feeling within the Newcastle staff that the team would benefit from a change of captaincy for the last three games – against West Bromwich Albion, Queens Park Rangers and West Ham United – in which they desperately need to secure at least one victory. Should Coloccini be stripped of the captaincy, then the midfielder Jack Colback would be among the favourites to take over as captain along with Krul."

A spokesman for the Toon Army gave his reaction to the news ........

    Something new every day innit.

They're self imploding and having to rely on a bin man who has completely lost the dressing room, to get them two points at least.

Funny how many of them kept ramming it down my throat that there was no chance of them going down when I brought this up about 5 weeks ago. None of them are here now.

Truth is 32/33 points will never keep a club in this league and that pattern happens every year, this happens every season where bottom clubs start to rally.

Joey Barton at QPR, 2nd last game and Sam Allardyce and Kevin Nolan will be relegating them on the last game of the season, two players and a manager Mike Ashley just had to get out of his club because they actually had a set of bollocks, now he wants his invertebrates to bail him out.

I said before the season started they are going down and it looks like I'm'a get paid.

Carver even got Krul to tell Janmaart in his native language to cool down and leave out the rash challenges. Couldn't even yank him off as he had used all subs. Can't legislate for stupidity like that on top of the other fellah.

On the attack they don't look too bad, but that's the Newcastle way for as long as I can remember, they've ignored defensive responsibility for ever.

Its hard to out score the opposition when they're all sticking 3 past you and your senior striker has 0 goals for the season.

Cisse coming back is their only hope.

Yeah give it to Colback, he doesn't have the capacity to lead. He doesn't open his trap. Perfect nail towards their Premiership coffin. They seem to be doing everything possible to save us.

Get your money on Newcastle you can still get 5/1 I took 66/1 but free money is free money.

Carver staying put is all anybody needs to get paid.

It feels morally wrong taking money from car crash victims.

They only need one win from 3 easy looking fixtures. I think they'll get it unfortunately

WBA play like they did against us on Saturday Newcastle are getting trashed.

QPR will be relegated before Newcastle play them, I'm not sure how deflating that'll be or maybe it'll be a blessing for QPR.

West Ham could bury them, I'm sure Sam Allardyce would love to, Nolan probably would as well. If they turn up Newcastle will be pulled to bits.

West Brom had 7-10 players behind the ball most of the time vs us, Newcastle never have more than 4 under Carver no matter who they play.

I honestly think 39-40 points is the safety net this season, I think Hull will go down, we will be well safe after our point at Everton and thrashing Leicester and holding the big two to a draw..<ok>

Never ****ing give up, never be negative..

    HA'WAY THE LADS...

Sorry mate but if that's the cut off I think we're ****ed. I think we'll do well to get another 3/4 points and hopefully that keeps us up. We're still favourites to go down for me, simply because we're in the relegation zone.

All clubs from 'Villa down are, though, and we can't all be favourites just because of being in the zone :emoticon-0145-shake

Sorry mate, I don't follow. Villa, Newcastle, Leicester and Hull aren't in the relegation zone.

We are so in my eyes we're favourites as we need to out perform the other lot who only need to match our results to stay up.

I am still here! I remember that PM you sent me saying we were doing better than you expected <laugh>. We probably won't go down purely due to the fact that Hull happen to be in the PL.

I will concede one thing though. It is absolutely hilarious to watch them cave in like this. I have to find it funny, otherwise I'd probably be in tears!

Our current form, in the last 4 games, is way better than Newcastle's to be fair.

Sunderland have won 2, drawn 1 and only lost 1 ........ Newcastle have lost 4 out of those games.

If that continues, even loosely, then they'll go down.

Since the last game, when they were battered by Leicester, they've lost 2 more players.

What can possibly make them play better ...... John Carver?

That may be mate but until we're above them I'll think we're more likely to go down. They need to fluke a win from somewhere and they're fine. We need at least two results to breathe a little easier.

I'm not bound by mere positions ........ our form is miles better than Newcastle's.

I can't see them winning another game.
