Wil be interesting to see this season's figures. I think they will be embarrassing for a lot of clubs when their transfer dealings and wage bills are compared. I should imagine getting into the PL from the Championship has cost them less than it did us.
Would be great if we are still in the PL for an away trip early or end of season. Hope for one at beginning of September as I will be down that way. No doubt the fixture computer will decide that Boxing Day or New
Year's Day will be the best time for a trip from Hull to the Dorset coast.

The game on Boxing Day and the following one (28th/29th) are always local games. The fixture list is decided to make that happen so we'll be looking at Manchester/Liverpool or the North East (if (when) we stay up)

I wouldn't be surprised to see them spend some cash on their squad, if they put a bid in of 5m in January, they'll likely have similar bids in the summer.

On Sky, Andy Hinchcliffe thinks we'll get a point tonight and Leicester will be safe too - he thinks it's either Sunderland or Newcastle to go down.

Ray Wilkins thinks Sunderland could beat Leicester and that'll effectively send Newcastle down as he cant see them getting another point this season.

Do Liverpool and Manchester United consider games against us as a local derby?

I doubt it - nor do we about them - but they are the most local games for us.

Sunderland and Man City are the two closest by road. Though whether the police would want Sunderland v Newcastle, Everton v Liverpool, Man Utd v Man City is another matter.

Remember a few years back when we couldn't stage a match, and were the only club to not play at home on what is a Bank Holiday, because Humberside Police said they couldn't police it as they would be on holiday "like everyone else". Including burglars, muggers, rapists etc hopefully. Humberside Police contributing to why Hull wasn't considered as a World Cup Venue.

It would be nice to think the pundits are right for once, but they've been wrong all season.

We've been down as safe all season, then we're 'doomed' and now we're back to being considered safe.
This league isn't as predictable as the pundits seem to think it is - Newcastle could just as easily win all their remaining games.

Precisely. 2 weeks ago nearly every single one of them had us going down without winning another game. Of course they'll all forget they said that now...

Newcastle will get a lucky win from somewhere imo. Us or Sunderland to go.

West Brom winning at Man Utd was a bad result for us.

They go to Newcastle 7 pts above the relegation zone and they're 99.9% safe now.
