A loss to Hull and a draw against WBA means we'll get exactly what we deserve this season. Feck all. Those two games summed the season, and Rodgers team up for me.
I don't care what Utd do next year I care about what we will do I think we will either come good or be True It would be highly ironic if Utd lose to hull last day and end up with a worse record again those too clubs though For me we were playing catch up and once we lost to Utd we were toast We were betrayed by Gerrard big time a draw and this would have been all to play for IMO now It's a nice send off to be giving him standing ovations on the last home game and licking ball when we know he ducked our cl hopes away as a going away present
Obviously I'd love us to somehow get fourth but it won't happen. However, of love it to happen so I can see the back tracking and double standards by people on here
But it's not going to happen, so those who've been slating the manager are going to be proved right aren't they?
Not really, but then "same difference" is one of those school ground responses when you've got no argument so fair enough, let's leave it there
Now this is very sad - just choose one game out of 35 and pin the total blame on gerrard? Win the 2 games against hull and west brom and we'd be sitting 4th now, the whole team needs a bollocking for giving it up before it was done
Someone run over your dog ? Or just don't want to be proved wrong yet again? It is the same difference, as he's failed in his objective if he doesn't attain 4th which makes those calling for his head valid in their opinion, as it's the ultimate result that matters and he's not going to deliver it by your own admission.
So one poor season means someone is a **** manager? ****, Fergie got lucky!!! It doesn't 'prove' anything
It's 2 **** seasons out of 3 given the resources he's had at his disposal, it's a fail, and his recent comments point to him knowing that. He's under massive pressure to hang on to his job imo. The Sherman's want the CL, their business model demands it and he's not going to deliver it. He'll get a reprieve imo, but I can understand why so many reds want him gone, particularly when there's people like Klopp available.
Both......hardly complicated He'll get a grilling by the Shermans and told it ain't good enough, but they'll give him the benefit of the doubt and he'll get until Christmas to prove he can deliver what they want.
I understand and agree with all that but I questioned the word 'prove'. Only way those claims are proved is if he is left to have the full five years.
Try getting a straight answer on whether a manager should be judged on trophies alone, or on more than just that He's been avoiding that one for ages
Yes I have You keep going on about Rodgers spending over £200m and no trophies I pointed out Everton have also spent over £200m since their last trophy Apparently one counts as totally valid criticism, the other does not
It's a completely nonsensical argument and is merely deflection tactics to avoid dissecting the ****ty reality of Rodgers spending. We've spent less than £30 net in over a decade ffs, we're not comparable with the level of spending that you lot have had, especially Rodgers. He's spent £217m and is taking you back to the starting point by the looks of it, only worse, as he's bottled the cup competitions unlike his predecessor, who got the can for 2 finals, a pot and failure to deliver the CL.
So now you're judging Everton net against Rodgers gross Another switch of the goalposts, like you do every time If net is what matters, then you outspending us by £9m net and massively dropping away from us (even when we have a poor season) is an absolute ****ing disgrace and Martinez needs sacking now £34m spent on strikers to be 17 points behind an effectively strikerless Liverpool FFS
