It was the same on Sky as well saying Lamela had scored so the stats must come from elsewhere and broadcast through. I thought we played ok and a draw would have been fair. I don't mind when we play like that against the top teams. The result doesn't really matter. The squad is showing promise. I would give Lamela one more season. He works very hard and I do believe there is a player in there somewhere
We played very well against a very good side, really unlucky to lose but we should've taken some of our chances better. That consigns us to our lowest points total for a few seasons and likely 6th/7th, disappointing but if we can play like that next season we'll win a lot more than we lose. Paulinho finally looked like the player we thought we'd signed but it's probably too late, I think he'lll want to leave and I can't see us putting up a fight to keep him.
We got away with one in the first half but I agree, a lot of decisions went City's way today. Typical referee's performance, when in doubt side with the bigger club. Typical coverage too, we got 3 replays and analysis of the penalty appeal where Rose obviously gets the ball yet when Fazio goes down in their box it doesn't even get a mention.
Excellent game played by Rose and a good game, once again played by Lloris. Kane tried his best and will be useful next year. All the others, on display today, are a bunch of also rans., who will never collectively amount to anything much.
Harsh. Eriksen is class and is showing fatigue from a long season of consistent starts. I still believe Chadli has potential and has chipped in with several goals this season. Mason and Bentley are young and will develop. The rest is up for debate.
