could've moved to a smaller house, didn't, no sympathy.

However I do have sympathy for the homeless who freeze to death because selfish people in a free house think it's their right to have a free empty bedroom

What part of there was no smaller houses they could have moved to you don't understand? They were council tenants and I'm guessing that the council didn't have 2 bedroom houses available.

You having no sympathy for two disabled people reflects rather badly on you

Miggins is a typical example of the crass mentality of broken Britain, but his time will come, it always does and when the shoe is on the other foot, he'll sing to a different tune, nothing like a change of circumstance to teach a good lesson.............<ok>

Getting the homeless the real option of getting off the streets etc... is not going to be solved by using the extra bedroom tax when there are`nt enough 1-2 bed properties available to move people into !

Any well thought out policy would have ensured a large scale building program was completed before even starting to force that option on people but the gov don`t do joined up thinking to well do they ?

Maybe some hard decisions have to be made on incomer control etc.. to know the real number of houses, hospitals and schools etc... needed ( which is vast ) then investment in a huge building program should begin giving jobs, training & trades for the young, boosts to local economies and many other benefits to the nation as a whole, which could be easily financed by cutting where it matters not where it hurst. Eg - over seas funding of rich nations, 1 less trident sub, screw the financial, bankers and monopoly run big business, top level tax avoidance asset grabbing / stripping, And the queen who is the richest woman on the planet a multi trillionaire who if really loved this country that has feathered her lots nest for centuries threw in some loose change as a gesture of care ( hahahaha) and then im sure those that are in a position to contribute more seeing a real benefit being created to the Uk would`nt mind chipping in a bit more ?

But of course greed is the only god in their world so struggle and class control will continue to be the norm. So we either play the rat race to their rules or bug on out and get stigmatized as a traveler, tramp, homeless or a hippy that wont play their game anymore !

there's a family of 6 living in one room next door to me, 2 of them are under 5, so you think I'm gonna have sympathy for you? cos it aint about disabled people is it, it's about your spare room that you now have to pay for, that's typical of Broken Britain and the all about me factor.
You're just a selfish dick using a sad story to justify why you should keep an empty room during a housing shortage.

You really are idiotic aren't you? They tried to move to a smaller house and there was none available, they got kicked out of a house because they could not afford the deduction of their benefit, and pay this sick tax. And its all about disabled in this case as they were both disabled you idiot.

This tax on people will not suddenly free up large properties as there are no small properties for them to move into, its called a shortage, and its called a stupid unfair tax, when labour is voted in next week this will be one of the first things to go, followed shortly after by you I hope!

Well tell those ****ers you are supporting to build more houses. After all, it was that bitch Thatcher that started selling off council houses that created the social housing shortage.

"they lived in their family home for fifty years"
"they have never been sanctioned and have been receiving help"
In other words they felt it was their right to continue living in a home far too big for them simply because they'd been there 50 years (this seems to be the usual argument) and decided it was theirs. And bet there's a whole other side to the story.
    And, lastly,

If she knew what was going on, why didn't the sister put them up?

Reading too hard for you is it:

Who's a chav? the sister who left her family living in a tent?
Or the bloke who has a free house with a spare room that he doesn't want to pay for?
no doubt you all rushed to vote Labour in 2005 and totally ignored that they were war criminals guilty of the murder of over a million Iraqi women and children (10x saddams figure in 1/10th of the time) simply because they offered you a few quid extra in benefits to spend getting pissed

You probably have some valid points amongst your thoughts but im sure you know whoever we vote for the establishment will continue to run the show behind the scenes no mater what we want its what they want that wins, unless something drastic happens ? So may as well piss in the wind about it all here talking about a better Britain with a little humor and less bitching ? by the way are you IDS ? :D

It would be helpful if you actually read the article, and as the sister who is disabled as well would hardly have been in the position to put two grown men her house, or even if it was allowed because of restrictions on her tenancy, do you expect her to face eviction as well?

Also you making it out as if they had the money and could pay for this, they didn't have the money as they are both on DLA and their housing benefit was cut by over 20%, how do you think they got into arrears in the first place?

As for Labour being guilty of war crimes, lets face facts here, both the parliament and lords were agreed to go in there on the information they had at that time, so in other words MPs from all parties agreed! They didn't have the benefit of hindsight like you, perhaps you would prefer if they used crystal balls instead?

Did they make mistakes going in? Of course they did, was it all about the resources, well yes! But look at the falklands war, and the first time they went into iraq, who was the government on both these occasions? Yep you got it the tories! Perhaps if you paid attention to your teachers you'd realise that this country went to war at least 4 times despite the public uproar

I'm IDS why? because I don't believe 2 person families should live in 3 bedroom council owned or rented properties for free? Or because I don't belive that propagandistic 'news' story by the labour supporting Mirror is telling the whole truth (or even half of it).
so what if it was their home for 50 years, they should be thankful they had it to raise children in, now the kids have left it's time for the parents to go too, and give someone else the chance to raise their 4 kids in a house rather than a single room.
Too much to ask of some though.

I did read it, and I started to smell BS straight away, just like the waft of BS from "Iraq has WMD's" that everyone with half a brain knew they didn't have. Yet you all voted for him, a war criminal, where was your sympathy for the victims then, where was your outrage? of course there was none as it didn't affect your pocket, did it? So stick the phoney sympathy you feel for the disabled up your greedy selfish arse. It's not about what's right, it;s about the money in YOUR pocket.

So where the **** do you want them to go then? They already tried moving into a 2 bedroom house, and guess what? There was none available, perhaps if you used that so called grey matter in your head you'd realise that!

You smelt something, was it the bullshit you are spouting? If I remember rightly in 2005 I voted the Green Party, so tell you what to do with your assumptions, you know that smell you are emitting, shove them up there!

What Labour will do in the future? I can guarantee it will not help me nor my family, my girlfriend works in the DVLA and it was Labour who did far more damage to her than what the Conservatives have done since. It hasn't been publicised but under Labour more and more was privatised taking roles away from civil servants, since Cameron took control he pulled some of those jobs back in house. Also under Cameron me and my girlfriend are now finally eligible for child tax credits, as we are both fulltime working we weren't ever eligible under Labour policy. Considering we prop up people it nice to finally get help propping up those other people.

I used to be a Labour supporter, but after so many years being shafted by them and of course seeing my city and country shafted by the Cardiff Labour administration I have completely lost all sentiment for that party. Ed Miliband has showed nothing to me that the party policy is going to change so that working families are the ones who will get help. Call me mean and nasty if you want, I don't care about the homeless or disabled. I care for me and my family only, I don't have time to worry about someone else's. Where is their family to look after them?!

Benefits belong to those who work hard and work consistently. Disability allowances should be given to those working families to help look after their family members who are disabled. I cannot even afford to put my second child that is on the way into crèche because it is another £7,000 a year!! Together that is nearly one third of our combined income after taxes which are not higher than Labour policy and it means one of us will have lose our fulltime status.

Seriously, why the hell should I give a damn about others who get our combined wage via my taxes for not working?!

Labour is not going to fix this disaster of an economy.
