Three games and our fate is decided If, hopefully we stay the course, The play-offs are never one-sided So it may need a tour de force I really do hope we can make it For all good Canaries concerned, So this last chance, we go and take it And have our PL place returned For otherwise I think the prospect May get tougher with every year, As two or three players, I suspect Might be tempted to move from here Redmond and also G. Hooper Are two of those I had in mind, And no one should get in a stupor If some leave and don´t look behind It is only to be expected That others will be on our trail, Some will no doubt have been selected As possible prey, should we fail But should we just emerge victorious From the next three weeks´ labourings, Not only will we be euphorious We´d likely keep aces and kings And now that we know that it´s Ipswich We first have to somehow bypass, No danger at all that we will switch Off focus, to beach and not grass So, in every respect it´s better Having now got ourselves this far, To make all three days a red-letter And ensure a trip to the bar. OTBC The Wembley Bar, to boot !!
Well said sir, it's amazing how many were talking about us meeting them in the playoffs from quite some time ago, let's hope that our breaking the evil eye that Fulham had over us has not destroyed our upper hand over the previous few meetings, to lose to them would be unbearable!
From experience Dave, The play-offs are normally impossible to call And have nothing to do with league form at all, So anything can happen and probably will I just hope in two weeks we´re in the hat, still.
In three weeks time, at Wembly, Playing for a place at top table, The boys will thrill the Yellow assembly, Playing magnificently to show they are able. Apologies RBF.
No apologies necessary I love any attempt at verse, And as this board´s outgoing emissary I can think of a lot that is worse.
