No, straight red. He hadn't been booked previously. JWP wasn't the last man because Yoshida was there, and Defoe had lost control, so all in all a good case for rescinding it I'd say.
Sky had him sent off twice in their updates, for two different reasons, hedgeing their bets I suppose?
We're doomed I tell you, doomed. Think I chose a good day to be visiting friends and going for a nice hike. Couple of beers (nice local ale) and a hike back to my mates, just off the Devils punch bowl. Checked the results. Saints lost to Sunderland,Man Utd lost at home to WBA. A nice bottle of Pommard and A bottle of Chateau Olivier breathing ready for our return... Time to sip that first glass. Happy days!
Koeman is a bit peeved. Said we only started playing when JWP got sent off. Turn the gas up on them Ronald. They'e going off the boil and that simply won't do.

I suppose Artur is no longer required down the road, could he be available to play for us again? Not that he would want to!
Daft having a top class GK sat on his backside, when he could be doing a good job of work for his parent Club.
Having seen it I think it was a pen. A soft one but you can't say there wasn't a foul. Not straight red though, didn't really see it as clear goalscoring chance. EDIT: In slow mo he does lose control, but agree it would be hard for ref to see that.
There's a case, but I don't think that will get rescinded unfortunately, not really fair on JWP, like often the red cardee is only left in that position because of the crap defending in the build up. I had turned off long before that save at the end so fair play for that, although if we'd taken a point I think Northumbria Police would have been involved.
Yeah, that's me. I don't think this was the worst game we played all year. I'm lying just because I love long debates about which games Saints were most crap in.
