Unfortunately what could be an interesting debate between very opposed views: is not - due to personal abuse - a lot of it from superhorns but not limited to him or Cologne either. However I suspect that is partly because Cologne is a very committed political "activist" and knows how to get his views across using Green Party material whereas Superhorns is simply a seat of his pants Tory -started out in life without a great education he says, worked on a shop floor with Unions around but then through becoming "self made" he has moved to the right but does not have the political support and back up to make arguments so uses his gut feelings. Does not make an equal or very interesting debate. Apologies if I have misinterpreted either Cologne's or Superhorn's position or background - those are just what I think I have understood from things they have said. However just because Superhorns is not the best "advocate" (and we can all see that) does not mean that every poster on here should take a pop at him - they reduce themselves to his level of argument. It is better to try (as NZ did) to tease out of him how he sees the situation.

Just my thoughts - and Dan - your modding as always has been exemplary.

Superhorns - there appear to me to be at least two or three pretty committed Tories on here too

To be honest I did not feel you were comparing me to a Nazi - so no problems there. Not sure that the word 'mythical' is entirely necessary here. Also, people choose their places to live for many reasons and not just political ones - hence I am based in Germany, but I do not feel German or particularly like its politics. The problem I have here is that in the course of this debate you have consistently misread not just my posts but also many others - ignored answering anything which you found inconvenient. Mixed insults with snide comments aimed only at belittling your opponents. You have apparently insisted on using the expression Socialist or Lefty to describe almost anything which you do not agree with - using the same term to describe everything from Hitler, or Stalin right through to Balls and Miliband. Everything which you personally disaprove of is dismissed as myth, fairy tale or only for dreamers without any attempt to engage with it in debate. There are many more shades of opinion on this board than you realise - but I feel that the level of some of the discourse on here his driven some posters away.

Er...Leo. I am in the German Green Party - but find them very conservative and would not use their material here - also it's all in German ! Also I left school at 15 !

Your description of me is simplistic and certainly devalues my tremendously varied experiences from shop floor lefty to creating a multi million pound health business from scratch, which has incidentally saved the NHS many millions. If I have one message to my left wing colleagues is that there are many more opportunities out there in the UK than some realise. I believe that experience is invaluable and certainly better than some textbook theories. I can certainly provide the back up arguments but some minds are unfortunately closed. I prefer the 'pops' to your condescending assessment.

So I am not very good at "reading" people :)

    - although I cannot accept even the German Green Party is not left wing - and my assessment of you superhorns was not intended to be flattering seeing as your ability to argue is so poor

Sorry, but I am not left wing as you may have realised from some of the comments made about our not so beloved President. I am not either that right wing, unless you call some of the left wing Tories right wing. Compared to the FN and UKIP I am quite left wing. make of that what you can. What I have found over the years when I met a number of MPs was that you could have a very good constructive discussion with them, talk through issues of a national and local matter with them and they were generally happy to do so. Watch the same people from both sides of the chamber trying to get at each other made you wonder if these were the same people you had been talking to. As we saw in the independence debate, you can get one person so sure of what is right, subsequently wrong, that proper discussion goes astray. This thread is in danger of becoming a chamber debate rather than away from a chamber discussion.

This is my last contribution on this thread, unless the appropriate action is taken.

You can now understand why there are so many one party socialist regimes around the world.

I have already said that I am no longer rising to your childish provocation ! - I wish only to return this thread to some kind of rational normality.
