And what do you consider a good night out? Front row seats to a Lesley Carrot concert?

There are a fair few guides I think. Some are really good detailed guides.

    Basically though as an idea:

Buy box from ebay (you can buy them pre set up with sky or not).
    Plug sky lead into it
Plug router lead into it (or buy a wifi dongle for about £6)

At this point you have a freesat box, showing all the normal freesat channels.

The next bits are the tricky bits if you haven't paid extra for a pre set up one.

Download a decent sky based channel list and save it onto a usb stick. Plug stick in open box and upload channel list.

Buy a subscription (tons of people sell them on cs-kings website). Download a template config file from seller, paste in your subscription details and upload to box on a usb.

    Thats pretty much it.

It's not a wind up but the bits noted as "tricky" aren't always as easy as I made it sound as the interface is a bit clunky, even if the theory is simple.

I spent a few nights playing with "test lines" which providers let you have for free for 24 hours before I paid someone. If I get chance tomorrow I'll pm you who I pay for my sky.

I just tried it, and my last reply on here ended up on the sky Sports News banner.

I binned it off last week.

Final straw was when I sat down to watch the Chelsea v PSG Champions League game only to be told I had to upgrade.

I thought I was paying for the full sports package as I'd never had to upgrade before.

    What a piss take.

Then to cap it off I received a letter say they were increasing my subscription by £4 a month.

    Get to ****.

Search on your browser for www.movie4k.to and from there you can stream a zillion movies directly on your TV browser as long as you have reasonable Internet speed

Cheers LBIA, I'll give it a go.

Been thick here (maybe, probably) but will the new TV have a browser or will I need a HDMI link cable to my laptop?

If it's a smart TV it should have a browser Ben. You can either connect your router directly to your TV with an Ethernet cable, this is preferable as you won't lose any internet speed, or you can connect wirelessly but you'll need to put your wireless key into the settings on your TV.

I've got other good stuff for you once you've finished this exercise <laugh>

That site, movIe4k.to, you can stream directly on to your smart TV Ben, no need to mess about with the laptop

I've got it connected to the net, found a load of Apps (netflix, amazon & stuff) but not an actual browser where I can search for ****. I really don't have a clue. I could look online but I'm being lazy
