Sunday Times journalist Duncan Castles is saying on twitter that we have signed Michael Brown on a free and are closing in on Stockdale. Fingers crossed this is true.

I hope its true too,Michael Brown is exactly the type of midfielder we need, although we'll also need another of his type as cover, cos if he gets injured we're back to square one.
    Its a start though,something positive.

I really can,t believe this as Brown was on 35k at POMPEY but he would be a great signing if fit!Stockdale fingers crossed seems to be a done dealand Lichaj looks promising if Hutton signs for Villathis leaves just one more Michael Johnson or Adam Barton for me

Well this Castles guy seems pretty certain and apparently he's rarely wrong. Add Lichaj plus another CM to those two and I think are promotion campaign is back on track <ok>.

The rumours going round are that Fulham want to loan us Stockdale because they can't put a 24 hour recall clause in if they loan him to Swansea. Do we really want to sign a first choice keeper with a 24 h recall clause?

No and supporting the mugs who work for New International is not on my agenda...rarely wrong? perhaps you should look into the archive a bit more.... 'Times on Sunday'? Have we learnt nothing over the last few weeks? Burn Murdoch. Burn The Sun. Burn The Times. Burn the NoW/Sun on SUnday/Whatever the nomenclature. Come on. There's enough on the net without lining Murdochs murder victim games fund with more cash!

You may be moaning but somehow, I get the feeling that if he'd signed for Leicester or Ipswich, you'd be raging non-stop about it being a missed oppurtunity.

We've had people going on and on about how great a signing he'd be. He's the same age as Lee Bowyer and played every game for Portsmouth last season until his appearances clause was about to kick in.

Excellent if it's true. Quality player and would do the job required.

Again the moaners will say he's too old or too young or not tall enough or too tall etc....

Two great signings if we pull them off. Dont worry about age Brown is more than capable of running the centre mid, and an older head in there is exactlly what we seem to be missing at times.
