Sounds like we may have a chance to get this one rescinded. Not that I'm overly bothered about whether JWP is in the team for the last few games.
Hope this is a lesson for Koeman. Playing Reed in future. That Djuricic change is terrible. He should have brought Elia on on the left and moved Mane to the right. We were already lopsided in midfield from Long not back tracking enough and Djuricic does no back tracking at all really. The team should be set up to give Mane more freedom. Not restrict him to having to do more defending than the other winger. At all times you should be playing the strongest back four. Especially with Reed (or even Davis) as an option at DM. Alderweireld at CB would have dealt with that attack imo before the penalty got given away
They are. But they also need to win - and we're not exactly full of world class players. You can't legislate for these types of games, but time and time the side threatened with relegation will somehow win them. Not by 4-0 playing gorgeous football, because if they were capable of that they wouldn't be threatened with relegation in the first place, but somehow. No-one should be surprised if Sunderland win this.
It'd take real effort to shed a 7 point lead and insurmountable GD at this stage. We're showing intent today, but Swansea are not.
Yes I can. Clyne was left 2 on 1 on multiple occasions in the first half as Long didn't go with Van Aanholt I'm not judging whether he's trying or not by the way. He's out of position and he might have been losing concentration. Van Aanholt is a fast player. My guess is he took a knock and was losing concentration. It was only the first half and Long already looked knackered
