Realistically, not mathematically. Having another look at the fixtures, 'Castle have West Brom and West Ham at home (besides us) left. Surely, they will win one of these home games against teams that are already on the beach?
Leicester 3 up. What a turn round for them, Newcastle in free fall, but we have left it too late to catch them.
We also need Newcastle to be as crap as they are playing at Leicester, currently 3-0 down and down to 10 men now. Some talk by the commentators that if Derby don't make the playoffs a switch by Steve McClaren to Newcastle might be in the cards given their current form and lack of respect by the squad towards John Carver.
Apart from Fer for Zamora isn't that the same side that (almost) contained Chelsea? We can't be to open playing against Sterling and Coutinho. Frustrating them for as long as possible seem our best shot imo, that team could do just that.
Totally, I've not bothered to go out and watch this one. I'd be too depressed, I'd end up drinking all night. Have you any streams available?
Got one here: http://premier-league-lives.net/live/liverpool-live-stream/channel-1/ Steve Black is in Joey's ear hole, giving him some final pointers
Typical luck - ball in the net by Fer from a crap corner by Phillips, but unfortunately it went out of play first.
