I feel that Happy has been treated badly on this thread and whatever you think of his views he has held them for a long time. I would go so far to say that some owe him an apology. I understand the Allams have created huge divisions but we are still part of the Tiger Nation and we should give each other a certain amount of respect. I think the problem is that people are polarised, so anyone not following the overall trend, then gets labelled as pro Allam, with a bundle of baggage to go with it. It's as though you have to clarify where you stand on the name change or Allams rather than discussing the actual topic at hand. It's ended up creating some bad information being out there.
Fez, I wrote a long and what I thought would be a sensible response to your post, but deleted it. The reason is that I simply could not be bothered to start what I know would be another endless merry go round of posts. You are wrong, maybe not in everything but certainly in how you see the individual posters on here, its as simple as that. It is horrible to see our support torn asunder. I am neither pro nor anti-Allam. I believe that the man has - undeniably - rescued our club from financial ruin, given his unstinting support to Steve Bruce, and taken us to the brink of an unprecedented third consecutive season in the top flight. For that he deserves our thanks, despite the fact that he has the public relations skills of Saddam Hussein. THE FA WILL NEVER ALLOW THE NAME CHANGE. The Airco Arena affair is unfortunate, but there's a lot of crocodile tears being shed on behalf of 'the community' that have 'suffered'. Fact is, it is the best decision for the future of Hull City. The ASI money is another PR cock-up, but it is being suggested that away supporters have been denied a deserved reward. Fact is, £200K is a paltry amount. I feel sorry for you ****s that have decided you hate Allam. History will not judge you kindly.
lets say around 1500 regularly travel away, and that's being generous - that's about £130 per fan -- it's supposed to increase away support - so lets say it increased support to 2000 - that's £100 per fan - that's my money he's taken off me - why would he want to improve the support against Hull City each week instead of improving it for Hull City - Steve Bruce keeps asking the fans to get behind the team, perhaps he should tell the stupid **** to start helping his own customers rather than help his business competitors
What is unfortunate is you have overlooked the fact that we do not own the Airco arena, and this demonstrates how the odious old toad and his son ride roughshod over the community. I hope the PL turn it down and the council grow a pair after their decision
