I was expecting more of an uprising of suport for it.

 

As was I, quite diasappointed in its lack of support to tell you the truth.

Maybe Mauled can tart it out a bit and turn it into one of those 'Legend' flags/banners.

 

I suspect most posters on here under 50 don't know who he is.....

Wrong, your post which mentioned "Not606 Hull City banners and flags" was not a reply quoting anyone. You did address it to Fez though. Show me where the banners and flags have been called Not606 Hull City so many times as to become a generic term because as far as i can recall yours is the first ever.

 

Generic term: Relating to or descriptive of an entire group or class

It is not dependent on the amount of times the term is used.

 

I would disagree, the number of times a discription is used makes the desciption a generic term.
Not all digging machines were called JCB until that firm/name had market dominance.
And the same applies to Velux for roof windows, Xerox for copy machines, Asprin for pain killers and most famous of all Hoover, which have all become generic terms due to useage.

 

I have read all the threads and posts (well most anyway). I am now drinking so mine is a simple question requiring a concise answer. How do I go about getting a HULL CITY AFC flag displayed at the Burnley match.

If you want one of mauled1904 designs, drop him a PM. Failing that, contact any of the flag makers Google brings up. Barmy Flags of Oldham came well recommended, and didn't dissapoint when they made the Bruce out banner.

If you would like the SMC to display the banner, you will need to submit the design to the club for approval and then once delivered have it fire inspected. You will have to make an appointment to meet up with both James Mooney and the SMC. James is renowned for being easy to get hold of and will expect you to be on time for any arranged meeting. If the SMC are unable to assist you with placing your banner where James says it should be put, I am sure Ehab and Assem Allam will help.
