I've had an email from the SMC. They offer their apologies for the banner not being on display, commitments in other areas meant that it was too late to get the banner up for the Liverpool game. They'll do their utmost to make sure it's up for Monday. Fair play, they look after it as a gesture, and the harsh fact is, sometimes other factors have to take priority. In my view, the apology is fully accepted and the prompt reply and explanation fully appreciated.
"These are and were the first steps" with the way the club has acted in recent weeks could be the last. Those who gave their time to go to the FWG have been lied to, cheated and manipulated. What is this Not606 Hull City banner you talk of? We have In Bruce We Trust, Cobb Morley banners and the legend flags. there is no Not606 Hull City banner or flag.
Who does Steve Bruce manage? Who did Ian Ashbee, Waggy (Wiggo), Chillo or Warren Joyce play for? Which of those teams do you think the flags represent? What club do the fans who provided the banners support? What designs did those fans choose to use, and which club did they want them to show their support for? If you see a big yellow M on a sign near the road, do you think there's a Burger King ahead? This was getting seriously dull quite some time back.
Who's banner is it. Did we give Steve Bruce the banner, has the Cobb Morley family taken ownership of the Cobb Morley banner. Its a generic term for the banners and flags that this board has purchased.
That has never been used until today. Its almost like your fishing for bites and at the same time asking why oh why are some people draging this topic on and and on.
You've used this board to pick your argument so it will be sufficient for you to prove it. What's the problem?
If you arrive and find a donkey with no back legs yawning its head off next to a sleeping glass eye, you'll know Fez has already got there.
In case anyone missed it amongst the other "replies". This was from around 9:00 this morning. I've had an email from the SMC. In case anyone missed all of the other club excuses they are somewhere on the other seven threads that have been started on this topic. There will be more in the future. fair enough that is done for Dutch, but I will reserve opinion until I see a finally see a result and even then it will have been excruciating getting there. No more posts from me, as this really is and always has been a time will tell thing - what was it, early January??
