Wow that's very ****ed up logic. No other team has spent it all on the away end. The amounts spent on themed t-shirts for bar staff and stuff will be negligible. Only the Allams have chosen to spend none on their club's own fans.
Clubs discounting tickets to each others grounds, when each has set the exorbitant prices in the first place, seems Kafkaesque. It all just goes round in a circle. That way would be almost zero cost to the club's, but still unlikely to be sustainable as some would just budget that in. I think that's why the Prem were looking for something more. I suspect that the key element was to get clubs communicating with fans, to find out what they would like to change.
I don't think there's any issue with them being made public, I just don't think the Premier League saw any reason to do so until now.
If they'd discounted all away tickets by 2 quid you'd complain it was pointless. If they'd discounted travel all season people would still complain. Food vouchers would get complaints. Subsidising one or two games by a tenner would get complaints. Anything at all would be complained about.
I know it's you but that really is stupid. They've asked us how we wanted it spending and then not spent it on us at all. If that's not something to complain about what is?
If they'd made it half price tickets for Palace, Swansea and Southampton, absolutely nobody would have complained. It would have been good for fans, good for the team and the only reason it wasn't done is because Ehab's a complete ****basket.
Seriously? Despite the number of discussions and articles and the trusts requests for answers? That being the case, I'll keep an eye out for them.
Different view. Clubs are committed to spending 200k each season. Club A sets its away ticket price £5 higher than is needed and Club B gives it away fans a £5 discount. Club B sets its tickets £5 higher for the return fixture Club a gives a £5 discount. Manchester City knock 50% off ticket prices for Arsenal away reducing an adult ticket to £32 and offer half price tickets for Chelsea away. It looks good on paper but really? And just how does this add up to £200k? Arsenal supporters receive a £2.50 discount on every Premier League away ticket. The Gunners will also provide away supporters with a refreshments voucher worth £10 at an away fixture this Christmas. The whole thing is a mess and we are leading the pack in not addressing the simple questions, How much on what and when.
So when the guy from the FSF said on RH last night 'had spent the majority on their own fans' that must indicate they spent some of it on the visitors section in the ground, so what you've posted is what the clubs 'planned' to do with the money. They may well have done everything you've posted and more, but my original post was that 17 out of 20 have spent some/ all on the visitors section of their ground just based on what the guy from the FSF said and you're saying they haven't?
Because it's complete bollocks. I've already pointed this out once. You even admitted you were guessing. No one has spent the entire amount on opposition fans. 16 out of 16 have spent the majority on their own fans.
I'm saying they haven't all spent some money on visiting fans. Stoke have spent the entire fund on free travel to all away games, Arsenal, Man United and Liverpool spent theirs on discounting every away ticket for their fans. Some have spent some money on visiting fans, but generally a minimal amount and nobody else has spent all of it on visiting fans. I can't believe anyone would attempt to try and justify this ****, it's just a pathetic, vindictive slap in the face for Hull City fans.
You're missing the point I'm raising, everyone is saying that 16 clubs have spent ALL of the money on their fans, yet the FSF has said that all 16 clubs haven't. I'm in no way condoning what the Allams have done but people need to read things before making up what they want to put/ everyone to read
Nobody is saying that all sixteen clubs have spent all the money on their own fans, some have, some haven't, but other than us, all the others have spent the vast majority on their own fans.
The club organized the meetings, invited those people they wanted to invite, asked how the attendees wanted the money spending then totally ignored them. Three times. We asked for money to be spent on subsidising Everton away as it was a midweek night match close to Christmas, to hopefully increase the number of away fans which in turn would help the team. It's not rocket science. Why would the club so clearly go against something that could help the team? The same request was made of West Ham away (Sunday, televised, £45), Swansea away (long trip over Easter weekend), Southampton away (one week after Swansea, very long trip). All these games were suggested so that more fans would be encouraged to go so that more fans could help lift the team. How can that be wrong?. The board of directors didn't even have the decency to tell their own marketing manager that the money was being spent on the KC away end until Ehab went to the HDM.
I can't believe some people are trying to justify the actions of the club which were just a big '**** you' to City fans
I think you're guilty of what you accuse people of there. Who's said that every club has spent all the money on their own fans? No one would mind if we spent a token amount on t shirts for bar staff like other clubs have, providing we got the main benefit of it, like other clubs' fans have. As it is we've got absolutely **** all despite and being consulted on it and it's simply because the owners hate us. His attempt to rationalise it by saying everyone else is wrong was laughable, but people on here are coming up with stuff almost as daft to defend it. If it wasn't clear enough that they can do absolutely no wrong for some people, this latest scandal proves it.
Of course it could always be discussed by the club and HCOSC and a vote taken Novel thing this democracy lark
