I don't hate him I just don't think he's good enough. He has been sh*te most of the season imo. Yes he can play a decent pass if the oppo give him 5-10 mins. Unfortunately that doesn't happen very often in the EPL.
Imo one of the many hopefully to go regardless of what division we are in next season.

Might be a nice lad, who has to work with a bunch of ****s. In the literal sense, that would mean everyone but him was a ****?

Let's say I go to work, and - in my opinion - I have to work with a bunch of ****s. Does that make me a ****, because I think all the other people I work with are ****s?

    What's your point?

The stat of him being in the team when we win is a statistical quirk, bit like spurs not winning when Bale was in the team for his first 24 games. Gomez isn't a terrible player he is capable of incisive passing but not very often at premier league level, he just doesn't have the required ability to make up for his chronic lack of pace at this level, if we go down he may well start to shine if we decide to keep hold of him.

Or the players around him don't make the runs that a former Barcelona player would expect?
Not bigging him up or sticking up for him by ther way as I don;t think, as a rule, he is good enough - as you say his lack of pace is terrifying. You never know though!!

Misunderstood - you said "might be a nice lad to" (I thought you meant "Too" - as in "As well" not "Who")- simple misunderstanding nordic no harm no foul

Bit deceptive to call him a former Barcelona player, he effectively came through their academy and got released from there reserves before getting anywhere near the first team. But I take your point it would be hard for any ball playing midfielder to operate in our side with our total lack of willing runners, though I would argue on too many occasions this season Gomez has had an early pass on to put us in a good attacking situation only for him to dawdle and the chance to be gone.

Defoe has been making top class runs since the moment he signed. I don't recall Anyone picking out one of those runs let alone Gomez.

Cattermole did it last week pal.

Plus I can't see how people think gomez is a good passer. The lad doesn't try long passes at all. Even ****ing cattermole plays long passes.

    Ah yes! I remember now.

Catt's averages both a higher pass accuracy % and a longer pass length average than Gomez.

no worries mate, i was angry as **** this last week, with **** typing skills and jumping at anything that moved.

hull winning didn't help things, but chelsea did. a bbq and bottle of wine today have improved the mood going into tomorrow... **** knows though, i have no idea whether a bunch of c's will turn out for us tomorrow, or a team that give a **** and remind us of their ability.

Cracking penalties. Still caught out by the pace off the game time after time. Chuffed for the lad. Cool as **** from the spot. But lets not forget the rest of the performance. Good but off the pace again.
