Some of our fans would say he wants to come back and play for us, the cynical ones would say he wants to be in the shop window, who knows for sure?
He put himself in the shop at the start of the season, missing the last 4 games won't make any difference to any potential suitors.
I'm sure Morgan means what he says. He loves playing football and wants to play again before the end of the season...certainly doesn't want his season to end in a flat way like this. I'm reading no more into it than that.
Maybe the injury is fortuitous for Saints, could it worry any potential purchasers (or their insurers) and make it more likely for us to keep Spider?
The only serious contender for spider's signature is Spurs. However I am doubtful even they will come a callin' if the price is high enough. Clyne on the other hand is another matter........Have heard he is definitely off.....although there seems to be a bit of a mystery where he is going to. I have a sneaking feeling it is one of the London clubs although do not know for sure.....just reading between the lines from the info given.........
MP says he will act fast to land players...if Morgan goes to Spurs, I want it to be fast, then we can move on. No dragging it out. I am actually a bit insulted about anyone leaving us for Spurs...rather than Arsenal, Chelsea, City...shows how far we have come.
You don't recon? He had a very special relationship with Pochettino, he may feel that spurs maybe his best bet for CL football. Other than those already playing in that league. Or that they have a better chance than us getting into that league.
Yes Beddy but I think he wants/needs CL football now. No guarantee that Spurs will even qualify next season.
As pathetic and immature as it is, I will be sticking a big black mark next to his name and bearing a grudge if Morgan goes to Spuds, without them being in the Champions League.
If he goes to spurs then he's in the same bracket as Lallana and Lovren for me, I do't mind him going if he goes to one of the top clubs and gets his wish of champions league. but if he goes to spurs who will not get champions league especially if we are only going to have 3 clubs qualifying then he is really just leaving for money or to be with his mate.
I will feel less insulted if he goes to one the CL regulars as opposed to Spurs. Going to Arsenal, Chelsea et al, is preferable to him being lured by a marginally larger wage packet. No Matter what he does he's been a sensational player for us and aside from a little wobbler last year has been dedicated and devoted player and i wish him all the best...unless he goes to spurs.
Spider has been a great player for us, and I wish him all the best. Given that he is now out of the team for the rest of the season, I guess Reed gets a chance to show us what he's got.
Morgan has been here a long time...had a wobbler last summer, but then knuckled down. Players come and go...I suppose he's paid his dues. I'll wish him the best (except at Spurs). Rather he went to Arsenal. I see I agree with Tommomo
Likewise, though I could never boo Morgan (unlike Lallana, I'd happily boo him, and I'm not a booer).
I'm more worried that UKIP might have some sort of influence on decision making after the election than I am about Morgan leaving. Having said that does anyone know what to do to help a woman who keeps bursting into tears?
