I didn't get chance to email the club earlier, so your post was a timely reminder. I emailed when I saw your post, and they've replied. I asked if they're liable to be on show for the Arsenal game, and they were unsure why they were not up last game, but will do their best to get them on show for Monday.
This has gone on so long and so many posts so i am quite happy to be corrected if the following is wrong. The banner idea began on here over 6 months ago. Money raised through the southern supporters pay pal account. Mauled and DMD were in contact with the club about the idea and dimensions. Their efforts got the thing done before Christmas. It got put up once during the holiday period in an unsuitable position ??? Then it was put away for safe keeping and got lost for a while. It reappeared in March or even April ?? at the back of the North stand on the control box thing, not ideal as when people stood up it was obscured. It was in that place for 2 or 3 games and has gone again ( not up for the Liverpool game ) This was a real chance to build bridges between fans and club, and in my opinion the club ****ed up. Did they do any press releases about it? Like I said thats all from memory so no problem if people correct the time line
It wasn't done before Christmas, the company that made it worked through the Christmas period to get it done for the new year. It was collected by City fans in Manchester and brought to the stadium and displayed that day. It had a temporary home as it got to the ground not much before kick off. Subsequently, the club looked at other spots, and offered the one in the north stand. As I posted above, I contacted them this evening about it not being there for Liverpool, and got a reply straight back. HTH.

**** me DMD, you could have posted something along the lines of "emailed seventeen times and the bastards still have not replied" and then slipped in "after contacting my MP, the FA and the HDM, I have now got an email"!
